Property Description

A brand new cottage just inland from the sandy beach at Portreath. Carn View sits on the edge of the village of Illogan with rural views to the south towards Carn Brea; a hilltop castle and monument. Just 2 miles to the north is the popular family beach at Portreath; a great surfing and body boarding spot with several shops and cafes without being over commercialised. For those who would like to venture further afield, the north coast has a wealth of great sandy beaches and coves which are all linked by the South West Coast Footpath. With the 3 miles of golden sands at Hayle to the west and the expansive beaches at Porthtowan and Perranporth in the east, you will be spoilt for choice. Illogan itself has local facilities including a small supermarket, post office, bakery specialising in Cornish pasties and a pharmacy. There are also three pubs, all of which are within walking distance. To the west of the village is Tehidy Country Park and Golf Course where you can explore 104 hectares of woodland and lakes interspersed with 9 miles of footpaths. Venture east and you will come to the picturesque village of St Agnes where there are a number of cafes and restaurants, galleries and craft workshops in which to browse. Carn View is a brand new property, completed in April 2011. The furnishings are of high quality and guests will appreciate the pretty fabrics and light and bright interior. The kitchen has been well equipped with modern appliances in vibrant colours and a table and chairs to seat four. Upstairs there is a double bedroom and a second room with bunk beds which are suitable for children being 6' in length. Outside is a terrace garden which enjoys a southerly aspect and rural outlook. There is parking for two cars.
