The coast is less than 2 miles away and beautiful Helford River, approximately 4 miles from the village, has numerous creeks ready to be discovered from a hire boat on the estuary. The Lizard Peninsula has many attractions, with stunning beaches, hidden coves with caves ripe for exploration at low tide and exhilarating coastal walks along footpaths overlooking the magnificent sea vista. Kynance Cove is a particular jewel, with brilliant white sands and turquoise seas. The fishing village of Coverack, a 10 minute drive away, has a small harbour and occasional dolphins may be spied from its beach. The ancient market town of Helston, famous for its traditional Flora Dance in May is a short drive away. Lively Falmouth, famous for its sea-faring heritage, has something for all ages and excellent restaurants and traditional inns a plenty. Tarragon has ample parking.
