Pendeen is situated on a select development of delightful old barn conversions and chic modern houses within extensive grounds just 3 miles from the coastal town of Falmouth. There you will find a plethora of sights and activities for all the family. Relax on one of the sandy beaches at Swanpool or Gyllanvase or hop on a boat and take a trip along the river to Truro, the capital of Cornwall. Step back in history with a visit to the amazing Pendennis Castle, the mighty fortress which was built for Henry VIII which sits atop the peninsula and was used as Second World War observation post. If you need a rest after all the excitement, then simply take in the sights and sounds of this bustling port over a coffee or a chilled glass of wine in one of the many cafes and restaurants in the town. The barns are set around a large enclosed courtyard garden which has been landscaped and exotically planted to create a Mediterranean feel. A few steps up from the back door of Pendeen takes you directly to the superb heated outdoor swimming pool which is open from April to September as well as a fabulous jacuzzi and sauna which are open year round. Surrounding the pool are comfortable sun loungers, on which you can relax with a good book whilst the children are kept entertained in the communal games room which has a table tennis table and range of DVD's. With accommodation on one level apart from a few steps leading to the master bedroom Pendeen is suitable for those with limited mobility and there is separate level access to the pool area. There is ample parking. Pendeen is also suitable for larger groups when booked together with Mawnan, Sennen, Manacles, St Keverne, Newlyn or Trelawney.
