A selection of holiday properties in Callington
Callington, a small ancient market town in southeast Cornwall, is famous for its Honey Fair and Mural Trail. The Mural Trail, which depicts life in the town both past and present, has been painted by professional artists and local schoolchildren. The centre of the town is a conservation area and boasts some beautiful nineteenth century architecture, including St Mary’s parish church. The town has a busy events calendar, including its main event, Callington Festival Week held each July – and the Town Hall holds a Country Market every second and fourth Friday of the month. Callington is not far from the Tamar Valley – an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – and Kit Hill Country Park is just outside the town. Kit Hill is an ideal place for picnics and walks, and offers some wonderful views across to Bodmin Moor. The National Trust property, Cotehele, is just southeast of the town.
