Watergate Bay is famous for being the location of Jamie Oliver’s restaurant, Fifteen Cornwall. The restaurant is set in the cliffside above Watergate Bay beach, enjoying spectacular panoramic views of the ocean. The beach hosts various surfing events throughout the year – including the Surf Relief Festival and the English Nationals - and is the base for the Extreme Academy. The academy offer tuition in surfing, kite surfing, wave skiing and stand-up paddle boarding amongst other activities. Watergate Bay is also home to The Hotel, a luxurious hotel which offers a wide range of beauty treatments and therapies which are available to non residents. The Hotel’s restaurant is also open to non residents, although booking is essential. Watergate Bay is approximately 5 miles from the popular seaside town of Newquay.
