One of the nicest places Ive stayed! Great place to stay, a good location for exploring Dartmoor and right next to the Drakes trail. Additionally it's equipped with everything you need to cook and sleep, the owners have really gone out of their way to ensure you are comfortable. The owners are really friendly and helpful but also give you your privacy. I would and have recommend this place to friends and family.

Lovely place to stay! This lovely apartment is excellently furnished in a lovely village with easy access to Dartmoor and many interesting places to visit. Great views over Dartmoor with local walks and bike rides on your doorstep. Nice little sunny garden was a bonus. The owners living next door are extremely helpful and can't do enough for you and make this location even better.

If exploring rolling green pastures, hiking through the picturesque Walkham valley, cycling through moorland villages or scaling the Dartmoor Tors is your idea of heaven, then Fairmead, situated in the pretty village of Horrabridge, is the perfect base for your travels. Positioned on the western fringes of Dartmoor National Park, Fairmead is a delightful bolthole escape. Its elevated position annexed to the owners' house, is afforded the most captivating views of North Hessary Tor, that can be enjoyed from the comfort of your own armchair. Light and airy with a high vaulted ceiling, the open plan living room, whilst is perfect for a couple and is fitted with all the home from home comforts to ensure a perfectly restful holiday. A pretty bedroom off the living room is furnished with a quality Kingsize bed, with a useful en-suite WC as well as a separate bathroom. To the rear guests have their own garden area, fenced for privacy and paved and furnished with garden chairs and table for alfresco meals. For those seeking to explore on foot or by bicycle, Drakes Trail runs immediately behind the property. There is also secure storage for bikes. Nestling in the valley of the River Walkham with the market town of Tavistock 5 miles to the north and Yelverton to the south, Horrabridge is a super base for an active holiday in Devon. On a bus route for those who would prefer to park up and leave the car behind, the village has a good pub, a village store, bakers and takeaway, all within walking distance of the property. The market town of Tavistock is just 5 miles away, where visitors can enjoy the famous Pannier Market and where there are a number of supermarkets, and a great selection of independent shops and restaurants. For trips out Buckland Abbey, The Garden House, Castle Drogo are all close by.

The patio is paved and accessed via a pathway from the front or from the back door with 5 steps leading to the raised patio. There is off-road parking for one cars on a level driveway outside the property entrance.
