Ask a Property Expert ...

A recently asked question:
"I have a small stone cottage with sea views that could sleep 4 however my second bedroom can't really fit twin beds. How would you recommend I maximize my chances of earning more by saying my cottage can sleep 4 rather than 3?"

Our response was:
"Excellent question, thank you. We recommend that you buy a 5ft zip and link bed which means you could either split them and sleep two children or zip them and sleep two adults."

I contacted Cornish Cottage Holidays at the very beginning of the process when the cottage we were purchasing was a shell.

Janine was very encouraging and believed it would turn into a comfortable and interesting property. Her insight at that stage was amazing as we had a job to even see anything in what is now a lovely light and airy living space. Her enthusiasm made the project such a pleasure and her photographs of the property are a great asset. We are over the moon with our first season. Thank you to all at Cornish Cottage Holidays for that.

The information that Cornish Cottage Holidays gave us to assist with the requirements was very comprehensive and coming from a design background myself I enjoyed the challenge of designing a complete interior from scratch.

Everyone I have had the pleasure to meet or spoken to on the telephone has always been polite, very helpful and always reply to any queries efficiently.

I carried out quite a lot of research looking into various letting agents but found that the Cornish Cottage Holiday website had the clearest booking page - instantly you can see which weeks have or have not been booked.

The booking staff will phone if there are any queries or special requests from customers and give their opinion as to whether they think it is reasonable.
