The property

Showcasing big views of St Michaels Mount and the ocean around Mounts Bay, this stylishly presented and spacious homestay in Marazion is within a short walk of the beach, and makes the perfect coastal escape for family, friends and celebration gatherings by the sea.

Marazion's small coastal resort is buzzing with a colourful mix of galleries, craft shops, eateries, inns and cafes.

Hagar Vor sits in an elevated position within a short walk of the heart of this sunny seaside town, with superb stretch of sandy beach and water ideal for boating and sailing.

The landmark attraction of St Michaels Mount is a worthy destination reached by the little ferry or the cobbled causeway at low tide - take lunch or coffee on the terrace of The Godolphin Arms with spectacular views to the castle topped isle.

There are several sandy beaches within a short drive including Perranuthnoe, Porthcurno and Sennen.

The market town of Penzance is just a couple of miles from Marazion along the South West Coastal Footpath and the iconic postcard perfect hotspot of St Ives is less than a 10 mile drive away.

The open air Minack Theatre carved out of the granite cliffs makes a unique setting for theatrical and music gigs - do book in advance!

Ramblers will enjoy exploring the coastpath along the beach and wildlife is in abundance on the RSPB Nature Reserve on Marazion Marsh.

Hagar Vor offers superbly presented family sized accommodation.

The separate sitting room looks out to sea views and the generous spangly kitchen with dining area makes a great space for gatherings and foodie feasts.

Wash away sandy toes in the conveniently positioned ground floor wet room after a day of swimming and sandcastles.

The first floor hosts four sleep-inducing bedrooms all with TV's for duvet watching, and two frame glorious views across the ocean around Mounts Bay.

The bathroom is pristine with the option to bathe or shower.

At the rear, the garden is enclosed with a patio for blue sky nibbles and drinks, and the front offers ample parking space and a play area for ball games.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £150.

About the location

PENZANCE

St Ives 8 miles. Helicopter to Isles of Scilly - 30 minutes

Penzance hosts Golowan, the Midsummer Carnival, and The Literary Festival. There are also The Exchange, Newlyn and Penlee Art Galleries. One of Cornwall’s most popular holiday areas is the spectacular sweep of Mount’s Bay, from the cliffside fishing village of Mousehole through Penzance and around to beautiful Marazion, the coastline hides a wealth of sandy beaches, rocky coves as well as winding village streets and other places to visit and explore. Connected by a causeway to the shore at Marazion is the National Trust’s stunningly beautiful St Michael’s Mount with its hilltop castle and Mediterranean gardens. Walk across at low water and take one of the ferry boats back when the tide is up. Penzance with its winding streets, shops, clubs, restaurants and harbour is a must as it is the jumping-off point for day trips to the Isles of Scilly as well as being the harbor. The South West Coast Path passing through Penzance winds its way along the clifftops towards Land’s End. On the way, stop off for a coffee and a rest at beautiful Lamorna Cove, explore the open air Minack Theatre and marvel at the cliffs as you approach Gwennap Head. A stunning walk for those seeking solitude, exercise and some of the UK’s best coastal scenery. Penzance is the perfect holiday base. Ideally placed for exploring this land of Celtic myth and legend and with enough to do and see in the immediate area to keep all the family occupied.
