Beautiful home from home, great central location
We couldn't fault the location it was central to most things even close enough to visit the Eden project as well as Omalast Maureen has three other properties ranging from one beds up to family accommodation. Demelza, Phoenix and Morane are the other cottages. There were several beaches in the area which the dogs loved and during winter months are dog friendly. I would recommend these cottages which are all built to a high standard.

Blissfully tucked away amid peaceful countryside, this newly-built rustic retreat is close to both the north and south Cornish coast for saltwater escapades and the cathedral city of Truro with its independent shops, restaurants, golf course, theatre, cinema, art galleries and museum. Approached through an electronically gated entrance and long leafy drive, it sits in over eight acres of beautiful private grounds shared with four other properties including the owner's farmhouse and Phoenix Cottage and Demelza Cottage which are also available to book. Anticipate scenic rambles with dog in tow, sinking into the stress-busting hot tub beneath a dramatic sunset or starlit skies, dining alfresco on the sun-trap deck, basking on recliners in the large, private and enclosed lawn garden and watching movies on the mega-inch TV beside the glowing wood burner. Arranged on one level, which may suit those with limited mobility, Omalast offers couples (including those with pets and babies) a generous light-filled space with a subtle retro fifties design and a delicious hamper of goodies on arrival. The intimate open plan living room incorporates a well equipped kitchen with plenty of fun extras including a coffee machine and milk frother for latte-lovers, candle lanterns, candlesticks, cheese board, napkins, ice bucket and picnic hamper. Kick back on the plump sofa while canine companions curl up in the dog basket with complimentary pets treats and accessories. The bedroom is equipped with a super king size bed dressed in sumptuous linens and a luxurious en-suite bathroom with toiletries, bathrobes, slippers, a deep bath tub and a walk-in shower that is large enough for two. In summer, throw open the bi-fold doors from the bedroom to the enclosed deck with rattan furniture for a morning coffee with rural views. If you can bear to tear yourself away from this idyllic sanctuary you will discover golden beaches in abundance at nearby Porthtowan, Portreath and St Agnes and a little farther afield is the iconic resort of St Ives. Falmouth, famed for its beaches, the National Maritime Museum and Pendennis Castle and the nearby coast to coast cycle and walking trail at Bissoe are also within easy reach. There are 3 separate cottages in the vicinity Phoenix Cottage, sleeps 2 , Demelza Cottage, sleeps 4 , and Omalast, sleeps 2 . Bath towels, bed linen, robes, slippers, hair drier and LPG central heating included. Up to 2 dogs at £25 each per week. The accommodation is arranged over one floor and has wood effect, rugs, vinyl and carpet flooring throughout. The external and internal doors are of a standard width and height. Kitchen worktops are of a standard height. The garden has a mixture of lawn, decking and paths. There is parking for two cars on a tarmac drive less than 8m from the front door.
