Nestled in a rural setting yet less than five miles from the City of Truro, Omalast is an amazing, newly built holiday home, luxuriously catering for up to two guests (babies under two and up to two pets also welcome!). Richly deserving of it's six diamond rating, Omalast has been lovingly furnished throughout in a modern, retro style. All on one level, the front door leads into an enormous open plan living room with dining table, kitchen, wood burning stove and 55" wall-mounted television and two large comfy sofas for lounging upon in front of the fire. The bedroom which can be configured as a double or a twin is light, tastefully appointed with luxury linens and has a 31" wall mounted television for checking the weather forecast before planning the day ahead. To entice one out of bed, there are folding patio doors that open out onto the balcony with large comfy chairs. The en-suite modern bathroom has a bath and separate spacious shower. To the side of the property is a wonderful hot tub and an enclosed garden for doggies to play in as well as a communal meadow for exercise. As well as a most generous welcome from the resident owners, there are many little touches throughout the property to make anyone choosing Omalast to instantly feel at home. Simply Delightful!

Please note this property is a Friday changeover in 2017 Designed for pure indulgence, romance and luxury escapism, Omalast is a sleek, flawlessly designed detached hideaway for two with a private hot tub, pastoral views, a warming wood burner and ample space. Blissfully tucked away amid peaceful countryside, this newly-built rustic retreat is close to both the north and south Cornish coast for saltwater escapades and the cathedral city of Truro with its independent shops, restaurants, golf course, theatre, cinema, art galleries and museum. Approached through an electronically gated entrance and long leafy drive, it sits in over eight acres of beautiful private grounds shared with four other properties including the owner's farmhouse and Phoenix Cottage and Demelza Cottage which are also available to book. Anticipate scenic rambles with dog in tow, sinking into the stress-busting hot tub beneath a dramatic sunset or starlit skies, dining alfresco on the sun-trap deck, basking on recliners in the large, private and enclosed lawn garden and watching movies on the mega-inch TV beside the glowing wood burner. Arranged on one level, which may suit those with limited mobility, Omalast offers couples (including those with pets and babies) a generous light-filled space with a subtle retro fifties design and a delicious hamper of goodies on arrival. The intimate open plan living room incorporates a well equipped kitchen with plenty of fun extras including a coffee machine and milk frother for latte-lovers, candle lanterns, candlesticks, cheese board, napkins, ice bucket and picnic hamper. Kick back on the plump sofa while canine companions curl up in the dog basket with complimentary pets treats and accessories. The bedroom is equipped with a super king size bed dressed in sumptuous linens and a luxurious en-suite bathroom with toiletries, bathrobes, slippers, a deep bath tub and a walk-in shower that is large enough for two. In summer, throw open the bi-fold doors from the bedroom to the enclosed deck with rattan furniture for a morning coffee with rural views. If you can bear to tear yourself away from this idyllic sanctuary you will discover golden beaches in abundance at nearby Porthtowan, Portreath and St Agnes and a little farther afield is the iconic resort of St Ives. Falmouth, famed for its beaches, the National Maritime Museum and Pendennis Castle and the nearby coast to coast cycle and walking trail at Bissoe are also within easy reach. There are 3 separate cottages in the vicinity Phoenix Cottage, sleeps 2 , Demelza Cottage, sleeps 4 , and Omalast, sleeps 2 . Bedroom 1 with 6' Bed (can be presented as a twin on request), 31" TV/DVD and en-suite bathroom with bath with hand-held shower attachment, separate shower and WC. Other amenities: FREE wi-fi, DAB radio, dishwasher, fridge freezer, board games and first basket of logs. Hot tub with spa towels. Bath towels, bed linen, robes, slippers, hair drier and LPG central heating included. Up to 2 dogs at £25 each per week. The accommodation is arranged over one floor and has wood effect, rugs, vinyl and carpet flooring throughout. The external and internal doors are of a standard width and height. Kitchen worktops are of a standard height. The garden has a mixture of lawn, decking and paths. There is parking for two cars on a tarmac drive less than 8m from the front door. We couldn't fault the location it was central to most things even close enough to visit the Eden project as well as Omalast Maureen has three other properties ranging from one beds up to family accommodation. Demelza, Phoenix and Morane are the other cottages. There were several beaches in the area which the dogs loved and during winter months are dog friendly. I would recommend these cottages which are all built to a high standard.

We have been on many cottage holidays over the last 20 years in all parts of the country. This has to be the best ever. The owners Maureen and John Chapman were extremely helpful and went the extra mile to ensure my wife and I and our dog (Amber) had all the comforts of home plus!

The accommodation was roomy and the quality of furnishings etc was high. The little extras such as toys/treats for Amber and wine and chocolates etc. for ourselves was a nice additional touch. A hot tub and large secure gardens completed the picture. Amber thought she was in Heaven!

If Cornwall was where you wanted to holiday then the location was unbeatable. Centrally situated and therefore close to beaches and attractions on all coasts. Near to a large city but situated in a quiet countryside location.

I cannot believe that anyone would find fault with anything here (although I am not naïve enough to know someone might) and I have already told all our dog owner friends of Nantrisack. Just hope they don't beat us to bookings for next year (no chance!).

P.S. Even the weather (November) was excellent. 18 deg and sunny most days.

Delighted to be first time users of Omalast. An idyllic little retreat. The owner thinks of everything and the hot tub is a bonus. Recommend castaways in Mylor Harbour for afternoon teas and tea by the sea for 'not so' light lunch in Falmouth. This week has been just what the doctor ordered for a stress free getaway.
