It was not a nice welcome. First impressions of the flat were as we expected, a good size for 2 people plus a dog. We arrived fairly late and went to make some dinner in the kitchen but found all the kitchen good, bowls, plates, cutlery etc. extremely dirty. They were covered in old food and grease, it seems odd that this wasn’t checked. We spent our first evening cleaning the kitchen. I went to take a shower and found about 50 long grey hairs up the shower wall. Again, not pleasant. It was strange to find that there was no hairdryer (what seems to be a basic amenity in holiday accommodation) and no bin bags provided. The next days we tried call the property owner about the cleanliness of the property, plus the fact that there was no hairdryer and no bin bags. There were no contact details for the owner so we called Sykes. We were told that the property owner would make contact with us directly but we never heard anything throughout our stay. We were relieved that nothing series happened throughout the stay such as a lost key as I have no faith that the property owner would have been contactable. Overall, Mullion is a nice area but I would not return to this accommodation.

The condition of the courtyard at the time of your arrival is something we can confirm is something that has since been resolved. A hairdryer was not previously listed as an amenity but has now been added in response to guest feedback.
We were disappointed to learn about the cleanliness issues in the kitchen and bathroom, as this does not reflect our usual standards. but we would like to assure you that these points have been addressed to ensure this does not happen again. Bin bags should also have been provided, and we apologise that this was overlooked. Regarding contact during your stay, we understand your frustration. You were incorrectly advised that the property owner would contact you directly, which was not an appropriate response, and we apologise for the inconvenience this caused.
