The property

On the very fringes of the former mining town of Camborne, in a quiet setting is Bird Song.

The cheerful weather boarded exterior of this gorgeous reverse level cottage, gives way to a beautifully finished, stylish contemporary interior.

A fabulous feature fire place, comfortable sofas and long rural views over the adjoining balcony come together to create a peaceful sitting room, and a sociable space to retreat to at the end of a busy day.

Delicious meals can be enjoyed around the dining table which you can prepare in the well-equipped kitchen.

Here, a second seating area with a wood burning stove will ensure that the designated chef is never without company and provides a quiet space in which to read and enjoy a good book.

On the ground floor are two boutique style bedrooms; a spacious twin (zip/link super king on request) with an en-suite shower room and a tranquil king-size room.

The pristine family shower room is perfect for rinsing the cares of the day away.

The bustling town centre of Camborne is just a short distance away, offering a good choice of eateries and all the essential amenities.

You’re deep in Poldark country here and you'll want to explore this interesting part of Cornwall; brush up on local history by visiting the ruins of Carn Brea Castle or the Bassett Monument, both within a short drive.

Pack a picnic and head to the stunningly beautiful Godrevy Heritage Coast where you can walk the coast path or simply enjoy the natural scenery.

Stroll the golden shores at Portreath and watch the surfers take on the waves or bask in the sunshine, you also have the World Heritage Site Heartlands and a plethora of walking and cycling trails to explore.

Further afield are the delights of St. Ives, where you can visit the Tate art museum or embark on an adventure to Land's End, where you can take your picture next to the iconic sign post.

Bird Song is a fabulous getaway to choose for your next Cornish holiday.

About the location

CAMBORNE

Portreath 4.5 miles; Hayle 7 miles.

Camborne lies in the heart of a former mining community and was well known for its “Queen of Cornish Mines" - the Dolcoath copper and tin mine, the deepest in Cornwall. Today, Camborne is home to Heartlands, a community space covering 19 acres and scattered with remnants of the mining industry, providing a free space for visitors to explore the heritage of Cornwall, browse art and craft projects, stroll through the gardens and sit and share a picnic or enjoy lunch at the Red River Café. From Camborne centre you can follow an interesting town trail, or spend the afternoon in the museum before visiting the array of shops and pubs. A ten-minute drive from Camborne brings you to a wealth of sandy Cornish beaches including Portreath, Gwithian and Porthtowan. Camborne is ideal for exploring Land’s End, the Lizard Peninsula, Truro and the Eden Project, which are all less than an hour’s drive away, ideal for a day trip.
