  • “From the moment we set foot in the lodge we where met with a terrible smell of damp so bad that it affect my partners asthma and also made my breathing hard.”

    Now we are home all are clothes smell terrible so bad we have had to throw some away, the smell of damp and mould was so bad. We both felt very unwell while we where away but we drove so far didn't know what to do or report it too.

    Thank you for your feedback. All of the lodgers have a Welcome card in them advising that should guests come across anything unto wards with the lodges, (cleaning or maintenance wise) then to report this during their stay so that we can action and rectify points raised. We had not been notified during the guest's stay but both maintenance and housekeeping have been advised of the points raised about the mould to investigate. Property Owner

10 Water’s Edge is a beautiful wooden lodge that sits overlooking the lake on the Stonerush Park near the quiet village of Lanreath, Cornwall.

It is the ultimate base to getaway from the bustle of everyday life and simply enjoy beautiful countryside in the south.

The spacious, open plan living area comprises of a high-spec kitchen, comfortable seating area and dining table.

Relax in the comfort of the plush settees with the double doors open and fresh air flooding the room.

From here, step out onto the terrace where the stunning lake views put you at ease.

There’s also a fabulous hot tub for relaxing in.

The lodge offers the luxury of a king-size bedroom with en-suite bathroom, TV and access onto the terrace.

The final bedroom is the delightful twin.

With both bedrooms complete with soft cotton sheets you are rest assured a great night sleep.

The ample family bathroom is the final piece of the interior.

The location of the park allows for easy touring of Cornwall, with the South West Coastal Path and Bodmin Moor being right on your doorstep, it’s the perfect retreat for avid walkers or those just wanting to explore this beautiful location.

The fishing villages of Looe and Polperro are an easy drive away and offer a selection of restaurants and pubs as well as some traditional Cornish pasty shops.

There are also some small, independent shops in and around the village however a short drive to St Austell will offer some more tasteful options.

While you’re here, you may as well visit the tropical biomes of the Eden Project which draws visitors from all over the UK.

Pelynt 2 miles; Looe 5 miles; Polperro 6 miles.

Lanreath is a village in southeast Cornwall, five miles west of Looe. Lanreath is rural in character with a local shop and Post Office as well as a parish church. There are a number of ghost stories associated with Lanreath. The best-known features a ghost in black driving a coach pulled by a headless horse. Nearby Pelynt is home to a parish church, a number of local shops and pubs, especially the Jubilee Inn, which was an original farmhouse dating back to the 16th Century. Looe is Cornwall’s second largest fishing port and hence there is always a lively maritime bustle around the quay area of East Looe, which is connected to the quieter West Looe by a seven arched 19th century bridge over the River Looe. The sandy Looe beach adjoins the pier and is very popular with families because of its safe shallow swimming and vast expanse of sand. Polperro is a little further away and is a historic fishing village nestling at the head of a long valley leading down to the sea. With plenty of areas to visit, Lanreath is a quiet, pleasant place offering easy access to the coast, the moors, National Trust properties and Cornwall's famous gardens.
