“A lovely cottage, in a beautiful location.”

Well equipped throughout, particularly the kitchen - we couldn’t have asked for more. Would definitely recommend.

The property

Return from coastal jaunts to this romantic retreat.

Immersed in mellow countryside and only a short drive to the fishing village of Porthleven with its beach and atmospheric harbour, Farm Cottage is perfect for couples and families seeking the chance to relax and appreciate life's simple pleasures.

Tucked away down pretty countryside lanes, it sits in a wonderfully peaceful setting, is completely detached and feels nicely private from the owners house. Traditional and rustic, it could not be lovelier with a warming wood burner, toasty Rayburn, romantic clutter-free bedrooms and a south-facing garden with a barbecue and picnic table for alfresco meals and idle time.

A popular venue for walkers, nature lovers, peace-seekers and children and pets love it here too!

Situated between Cornwall's north and south coast, Farm Cottage is the perfect base for exploring.

Scenic countryside walks can commence from the front door or along the south west coast path from Porthleven.

Stop a while and explore Porthleven's galleries, gift shops, waterside inns and foodie restaurants, including Rick Stein.

There are family-friendly beaches nearby at Poldhu, Praa Sands and Gunwalloe with a life-guard service during the main season.

The hidden coves and charming fishing villages of the Lizard Peninsula; the quiet creeks of the Helford; the island topped castle of St Michael's Mount and the lush sub-tropical gardens at Glendurgan and Trebah are also within easy reach.

Stock up on provisions at Helston with its supermarkets, shops, pubs and restaurants and head home to this gorgeous cottage. Step inside to a spacious open plan living room with wood burner at one end flanked by plump sofas.

Cushions, throws and rugs combine with thick walls, a stable door, exposed beams and wonky floorboards to add to the appealing, homely feel.

The kitchen is well equipped and there is the option to cook with the Rayburn.

Head upstairs to three serene bedrooms offering versatility with a double bedroom, twin bedroom (with zip and link beds) and a single bedroom.

A pristine bathroom with a deep tub is located on the ground floor as is common in old Cornish properties.
