“Please Please be honest and state off road parking is not available”

    - John, September 2023

Hello John. We are sorry you chose to note the parking provision as your solitary comment about your stay at Poppy Lodge. Bearing in mind the short distance between our allocated parking spot and the entrance to Poppy Lodge. Further bearing in mind you were sent a comprehensive email informing you of our parking provision with a supporting photo. To respond to your comment; our allocated parking space is located within the grounds of our property. It does adjoin a public road, but we would suggest you are incorrect to indicate it is not 'off road' parking. That said, given the potential grey area of where the space does sit, and to avoid any further confusion, we are happy to remove the description of 'off road' parking. Having timed the distance this morning, the walk between designated parking space and front door is a matter of 37 seconds. Property Owner

About the location

PERRANPORTH

Newquay 9 miles; Truro 9.5 miles.

Perranporth, a beautiful Cornish coastal town, lies in the heart of Poldark Country, the setting for the novels of Winston Graham who lived in Perranporth in the 1930s. Perranporth offers plenty of traditional pubs and shops, plus a classic bucket-and-spade beach that is lifeguarded in summer, overlooked by craggy rocks and a wonderful coastal path. Once known as the source of the finest tin, the community still retains reminders of the rich heritage with abandoned pump houses, mine shafts and workers’ cottages. The local Blue Hills Museum and Perranzabuloe Folk Museum are both well worth a visit to understand the fascinating history of this coastal area. Further afield are the miles of sandy beaches at Crantock and Holywell Bay, and the breathtaking coastal walks around St Agnes, much of it owned by the National Trust. A perfect holiday base in Cornwall, with an abundance of activities to suit everyone.
