The property

A fabulous transformation into a contemporary, modern holiday retreat for couples seeking a countryside getaway to recharge and unwind; Fritillary Cottage, once a store barn on the owner's small holding, is positioned in the beautiful north Devon countryside, just 7 miles from the coast.

A rural sanctuary for those seeking a taste of country life, guests are treated to a supply of fresh eggs and have the opportunity to meet the sheep, pigs and other animals on the farm.

Located on the Cornwall Devon border and a short distance to the coast, Fritillary Cottage is the perfect choice for exploring both counties.

A trip to the surfing hot spot of Bude will take you less than half an hour by car.

Stroll along the beach and soak up the laid back atmosphere of this popular seaside resort.

Take a dip in the famous sea water pool during summer months, or enjoy a seafood lunch overlooking the beach at one of the many beach cafes and restaurants.

Tintagel, Polzeath and Port Isaac are all day trips into Cornwall within an hour's drive of the cottage, and in the other direction visit the picturesque seaside village of Clovelly, or a little further afield the coastal town of Ilfracombe.

Walkers will enjoy the beauty of the Hartland Peninsula where coastal footpaths and circular walks are available for all abilities.

Close by, the Tamar Lakes offer the perfect spot for a picnic or some fishing in the summer sunshine, or for the more active try out some of the watersports on offer on the lake.

The village of Bradworthy is within a mile where the village shops will provide you with your daily essentials and the Bradworthy Arms is a great stop off for an evening drink and a home cooked meal.

Holsworthy is the nearest main town with a good supermarket, less than 15 minutes drive. Named after a rare butterfly that you might be lucky enough to spot during your stay, Fritillary Cottage has been sensitively and thoughtfully converted by the owners, into a holiday home of superior quality suitable also for those with mobility issues or in a wheel chair.

Spacious with a light and airy interior, a sleek dove grey kitchen at one end has been thoughtfully designed incorporating adjustable worktops.

A circular dining table is centrally positioned for convenience and the attractive lounge area is furnished with double sofa bed and chair for couples to relax in supreme comfort.

The bedroom is roomy with a king size bed, dressed in crisp white Egyptian cotton linens with an adjoining en-suite wet room.

Outside a lawn garden overlooks the pasture and fields to the front of the cottage where guests can relax on garden furniture and enjoy alfresco dining.

There is parking for 2 cars outside the cottage.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £100.
