Resting on the outskirts of the quaint village of Constantine, close to the Lizard Heritage Coast in Cornwall, is Lowenna, a wonderful detached lodge offering a couple a charming getaway to the picturesque Cornish countryside, while also being within easy reach of the coast and pretty beaches encompassing the area.

Take two steps up onto the sheltered decking and make your way inside the property to discover a welcoming open-plan living space, boasting character beams and a contemporary-style interior.

Relax and unwind in the sitting room and enjoy a film night on the TV in front of the cosy woodburner, or open up the patio doors onto the decking area and sit out in the evening sun with a glass of wine and a good book.

The well-equipped kitchen offers all the appliances you could need to cook a romantic meal for your loved one, to be enjoyed at the dining table or fire up the barbecue in the garden and dine alfresco on the decking area.

When sleep is calling, retire to the generously sized king-size double bedroom, which boasts crisp bedding and ample storage for your belongings, while the shower room allows you to prepare for each new day with a refreshing rinse.

Constanine village is just one mile away; set in a picturesque location, amidst rolling countryside and wooded valleys beside the Helford River.

Here you will find a few shops where you can pick up any essential items as well as traditional cottages and a scenic church.

You can also enjoy a refreshing pint at the local pub just a short stroll away.

Take advantage of the region's gentle climate and explore the sub-tropical garden and lovely private beach at Trebah Garden, along with a selection of fantastic sandy beaches at Helford Passage, Durgan and Grebe.

The harbour town of Famouth is a short drive away, resting on the Fal Estuary and boasting the most incredible natural harbour.

Spend an afternoon at Swanpool and Gyllyngvase beaches, and be sure to visit the imposing hill-top Pendennis Castle and the National Maritime Museum Cornwall, before ending the day with a delicious seafood dinner, freshly caught from one of the boats docked in the harbour.

Walkers can venture along the Lizard Peninsula, which is the most southerly point in the UK, to see dramatic rocky coastline and magnificent beaches, as well as the chance to see dolphins during the summertime.

The cathedral city of Truro is also within easy reach, making Lowenna a fantastic base from which to explore the coast, countryside and popular attractions of this quaint part of Cornwall.

About the location

Falmouth 7.1 miles; Truro 13.4 miles.

A charmingly picturesque country village with a few shops, a pub and a lovely church, set among green rolling meadows and wooded valleys leading down to the beautiful Helford river, just 3 miles away. Famous for its mild climate, this quieter part of Cornwall has the outstanding gardens of Trebah, Penjerrick, Glendurgan and Carwinion all within 4 miles. For nature lovers and those who enjoy boats, the misty reaches of the Helford river meander upstream to Gweek, where the world renowned Seal Sanctuary looks after the region’s many abandoned and injured seals. Falmouth, with its narrow streets, natural harbour and National Maritime Museum is just 20 minutes by car, while Flambards theme park (8 miles) and Argal Lake with its water sports attractions make great days out. The nearby beautiful Lizard Peninsula, with its outstanding beaches and quaint fishing villages dotting the rocky coastline, has the benefit of outstanding scenery, tranquillity and some great walks.
