Also, thanks to the owner for allowing us extra time to vacate due to our age, mainly! We will be back, thank you.

Bridge Barns Shepherds Huts

Three picture-perfect shepherd huts wrapped in the magnificent scenery of the Cornish countryside, just a stone’s throw away from the coast. Beautifully appointed with many rustic and characterful features, these quaint wood lodges are the perfect choice for three couples seeking an unforgettable escape to northern Cornwall. Whilst each of the huts has its own individual style, they can all be found boasting an open-plan living space, complete with a quaint kitchenette, an attractive dining area and a spacious double bed with a TV for added entertainment. Guests will also find a contemporary shower room finishing off the interior of the hut, and a lawned garden with a picnic table just outside. Off-road parking is available to the front of each hut for one car. Whilst a bustling pub can be found just a short stroll away at the centre of Bridge, visitors will find all their self-catering needs covered in the neighbouring village of Portreath, home to a charming café, handy convenience store and a handful of thriving pubs serving delicious hot meals. There is also an idyllic beach with soft sandy shores where you can make the most of warm summer days, as well as a harbour where colourful boats bob happily in the waters. The fun doesn't stop there. There is plenty to see as you hike along the rugged clifftops of the National Trust owned Godrevy Nature Reserve to Basset's Cove and Godrevy Point, whilst Chapel Porth and the Great Wheal Charlotte await you on the St Agnes Heritage Coast. Spend time in the towns of Perranporth and Redruth just a pleasant drive away, or head for the resort town of St Ives with so much adventure for the whole family to enjoy. About the location

PORTREATH

Truro 14 miles; St Ives 15 miles.

With its sheltered harbour, beautiful Portreath was, in the 1800s, a hive of activity and industry as a major tin-exporting port. Today, the village attracts visitors from around the world with its wild and rugged coastline. High cliffs, secluded coves and sandy, surf-washed beaches typify the area while all around are reminders of the area's rich industrial heritage. Portreath offers a small fishing harbour, shops, a number of pubs, three cafés and a Chinese restaurant, while its safe, sheltered sandy beach is a popular attraction. For a great day out, visit the cathedral city of Truro with its cobbled streets, shopping centre, theatre, museum and great restaurants, just 14 miles away, or travel a few miles along the coast and follow the vast expanse of sandy beach, which leads down to Hayle and on to St Ives. A delightful holiday location.
