Pump Cottage is a 400-year-old home in the picturesque Cornish village of Bridge, close to the rugged coastline.

There are exposed brick walls and beamed ceilings throughout the house, as well as an inglenook fireplace with a woodburning stove.

Bring your loved ones or close friends and be met with off-road parking before venturing off into the countryside.

Enter the open-plan living area, where you may relax on the soft sofa and read a good book as the woodburning stove crackles in the background.

You can watch your favourite shows on Freeview on the TV, then when your stomachs start grumbling, assemble around the dining table for a feast.

Meals may be prepared in the kitchen are which consists of an electric oven, stove and microwave as well as a dishwasher.

After a fun-filled day, head over to the bathroom and hang your towel on the heated rail before climbing into the tub or taking a hot shower.

Choose between two comfortable bedrooms, a double and a zip/link twin, both with lamps for reading before bed.

Start your day with a hot cup of coffee and a scenic view of the countryside before venturing off to discover Cornwall's hidden beauties.

PORTREATH

Truro 14 miles; St Ives 15 miles.

With its sheltered harbour, beautiful Portreath was, in the 1800s, a hive of activity and industry as a major tin-exporting port. Today, the village attracts visitors from around the world with its wild and rugged coastline. High cliffs, secluded coves and sandy, surf-washed beaches typify the area while all around are reminders of the area's rich industrial heritage. Portreath offers a small fishing harbour, shops, a number of pubs, three cafés and a Chinese restaurant, while its safe, sheltered sandy beach is a popular attraction. For a great day out, visit the cathedral city of Truro with its cobbled streets, shopping centre, theatre, museum and great restaurants, just 14 miles away, or travel a few miles along the coast and follow the vast expanse of sandy beach, which leads down to Hayle and on to St Ives. A delightful holiday location.
