“For a large group it has more than enough to go round”
“An excellent base from which to explore Cornwall and Devon.”
A very clean and well maintained property, equipped to a superb standard.
“Lovely house, and beautiful gardens.”
We also found the owner to be very friendly and helpful, with the phone call just before the holiday telling us all about the house and area. However, one big thing that really spoilt it for us, was to arrive after a 7 hour journey to find the bedding in the main bedroom to be very stained. It did look as if it had been washed, but there were stains on the duvet cover (looked like old lipstick or something) and quite a few old stains on the sheet, and it looked quite old. This was a massive disappointment to us, and, after a long journey, then had to travel almost another 30 miles round trip and spend out another £20 to buy a new duvet cover and sheet, as we were not prepared to sleep in the provided bed linen. This really spoilt the start to our holiday, and took up most of our first evening, as well as the extra expense. We also found that nearly all of the kitchen unit doors (around the handle areas) were quite dirty and marked, and we needed to go around and clean all of these too. They cleaned up very quickly and easily with a few wipes, so would not have been very hard to do in between guests. We feel this was really very poor for a house of this standard/cost. Clean bedlinen is an absolute essential for us, and, I imagine for everyone, so this was a very big let down, and frankly inexcusable. We have been to many holiday homes, both private and through holiday parks and lodges, and generally always found the bedding to be immaculate, so was shocked to find this in such an otherwise very well kept house. Such a shame, as it really spoilt our arrival and first night there. The rest of the house, bathrooms etc were all very clean and well presented.
Thank you for taking the time to complete your feedback following your recent stay at Atlantic Breeze. We've spoken with the owner who has asked us to cover the points mentioned in order to help yourselves and reassure future guests. The owner was truly saddened that your initial impression of Atlantic Breeze was marred by stains on the linen. The linen is professionally cleaned by a local laundry who make the best efforts to ensure it is pristine for all our guests. He has now spoken with the laundry company and advised, should any marks not be removed, that he is advised. It is policy at Atlantic Breeze to renew bedding on a routine basis. We would have been more than happy to pop round and change the linen had we only known during your stay. We are pleased to hear that despite the points raised you enjoyed your stay at Atlantic Breeze. The feedback we receive for Atlantic Breeze is overwhelmingly positive and we are confident that any issues highlighted are a one off. Owner relations
“Modern and comfortable”
Lovely stay here, modern appliances, very spacious and a lovely garden! Absolutely loved staying here, upon arrival there was a lovely welcome pack with scones, jam and clotted cream along with a nice bottle of red wine, a manual is provided advising on how to use everything which is very useful. The house is spotless and is very well equipped, a local contact book is provided in case of any issues and the owners friend comes around to make sure everything is satisfactory, he is extremely friendly and very helpful and also maintains the garden etc Would definitely return if they allowed dogs.
