“The cottage is in the perfect location to explore Charlestown and the surrounding area.”

The cottage was clean and had a well equipped kitchen. The beds were also really comfy. Lovely garden if the weather is nice. Would definitely stay again. Many thanks.

“Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely cottage.”

It's in a great position for all of Charlestowns eateries, pubs and shops. And the sea 'glimpse' from the bedroom windows was an added bonus. The garden looked lovely but unfortunately the weather was rather too wet and cold for us to make use of it. Kitchen was well equipped and although the bathroom was downstairs, it was well appointed. Stairs were a little tricky, especially at the top between the 2 bedrooms and the bottom one. Outside light very useful for returning back in an evening after dining out locally. Thank you for the tea/coffee/milk and biscuits on arrival- very welcome!

“Absolutely beautiful.”

The cottage provided everything we needed and more. It was very cosy. The beds were really comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom were well thought out. The outside area was lovely with fabulous views and we managed to bag a parking space right outside. Charlestown was lovely and the cottage was the icing on the cake.

“The cottage was as described and was comfortable for myself and my three children.”

Everything we needed was available, the cottage was well stocked for cooking etc and had everything we needed for our stay. There was a slight damp smell whenever we entered the cottage, but with windows open and the use of the air freshener's provided it was not unpleasant. The only other problem was on arrival, as the picture shown is not from the road side of the cottage it was difficult to find it initially and in the rain! However, overall we had a lovely stay and enjoyed the local area, walking distance to the pretty harbour and beach was a big bonus.

“The only thing we had difficulties with were the locks.”

There is a lock on the front door and back door. We couldn’t always open them, neither from the inside nor the outside. We had to push the backdoor a little to open it. Luckily when the front door didn’t work, the lock on the back door did. We never got stuck in the house or couldn’t get in. We forgot to tell the owner, because we were so enthusiastic about the cottage and its location.

A delightful and much sought-after coastal village of stone cottages and Regency houses, on the south coast near St. Austell. Famous for its collection of tall ships riding at anchor in the harbour, the shipwreck museum, excellent pubs and restaurants and easy access to the coastal path, Charlestown is the perfect holiday destination. It has even been used as a filming location, most well-known for appearing in Poldark. The area is rich in golf courses with Carlyon Bay and Porthpean close by. The picturesque fishing village of Mevagissey is 6 miles away by car, while the Lost Gardens of Heligan, several stately homes and gardens and the fabulous Eden Project are all within 5 miles, with Newquay and North Cornwall coast 17 miles away.
