“What a super weekend we spent at "Little Beach House" Carlyn Bay, Cornwall.”

Chris and Becks were welcoming and there was a "cream tea" and a bottle of wine waiting for us on our arrival. Thank you. The apartment is well placed to get to all sight seeing venues. We loved the sauna! What a treat to come home too after lots of walking! And the whole layout of the apartment is super. Super for couples. Thank you and hopefully we'll be back again soon.

The property

This cosy annex is situated in Carlyon Bay just a five minute walk from Crinnis Beach.

Set on the ground floor, this welcoming and stylish property offers a fabulous base to explore the area for two, and you can unwind in your own sauna at the end of the day.

With an open plan living area you can enjoy the nautical inspired décor or rustle up some lunch in the small kitchen area.

With a sleep inducing bedroom and a crisp shower room off the main living area, the luxury of your own sauna beckons.

The pretty shared sunspot garden is ideal for a morning coffee or winding down with an evening BBQ.

If you don't opt to cook, then you can walk for a bite to eat at the Carlyon Bay Hotel within a few minutes, or one mile to pretty Charlestown and see the picturesque harbour and dine in one of the well placed inns or restaurants.

Little Beach House is also excellently positioned to explore slightly further afield, stunning Fowey is just seven miles away where you can wander the lanes and soak up the atmosphere in the little art shops and cafes, or take the ferry across to Polruan and explore further the fishing villages of Looe and Polperro.

The Eden Project is just a ten minute drive and experience The Lost Gardens of Heligan.

About the location

ST AUSTELL

Pentewan 4 miles; Charlestown 1.5 miles; Truro 15 miles.

Just a short drive from the pretty south Cornish coast, St Austell is one of the largest towns in Cornwall. The landscape around St Austell is rich in kaolin (china clay) and this once made the region extremely prosperous. Today, the china clay industry is in decline and tourism has become the mainstay of income for St Austell and its surrounding parishes. St Austell town centre is home to a range of independent and well-known shops, an undercover shopping centre and a Local Produce Market, which takes place every Friday and Saturday. There is also a range of excellent restaurants, cafes and inns – from traditional country pubs to 2 AA rosette fine dining. Just outside St Austell is the iconic Eden Project, as well as the award-winning Lost Gardens of Heligan, Mevagissey, and the Wheal Martyn China Clay Museum. There are some beautiful beaches in this area, too – many with good kayaking conditions – and many miles of coastal footpath to explore. The mainly traffic-free Pentewan Cycle Trail runs from St Austell to Pentewan; here you can enjoy a bite to eat at the village pub or beach burger shack before making your return journey to St Austell. One of St Austell’s main events is the Torchlight Carnival which takes place each November – and of course, the World Pasty Championships, which are held at the Eden Project each March!

Note: No washing machine in the property, guests may use owners washing machine/tumble dryer by arrangement.
