Tucked away in the Georgian heart of Penzance, Hidden House is a real find! Park the car and approach on foot along the tiny streets lined with pastel coloured houses and dotted with palm trees.
This really is the prettiest part of town!
Forming part of a gorgeous Grade II listed Georgian townhouse, the interior of Hidden House will take you by surprise.
Super stylish, colourful and capacious, this is a great alternative to a boutique hotel where you really can kick back and relax.
On the ground floor, the serene sitting room with its lofty ceilings has an eclectic mix of furnishings plus a wood burner to return to after a day of sightseeing and salty air.
The bedroom is also on this floor with quirky four post bed and sunny south facing aspect together with the super smart bathroom with separate WC.
The kitchen/dining room occupies the lower ground floor.
Another super spacious room it invites you to drink wine and chat or cook up local produce from the towns many independent food shops.
Step out of the door and within moments you can be in the heart of Penzance.
The town has a fabulous mix of restaurants, pubs and cafes so why not make this a gastronomic break?
We love the Honeypot just down the road, The Turks Head for a pub with history and The Shore restaurant for fine dining.
The town has galleries galore; head to Chapel Street to sample the best plus some quirky independent shops too.
Hidden House does not have a garden but the two beautiful parks; Morrab Sub Tropical gardens and Penlee park are both within a minute's walk offering lush green spaces in which to laze with a book.
Penzance is also home to a wonderful seafront promenade with shingly beach and incredible Lido; The Jubilee Pool.
Take a stroll along to Newlyn to buy fresh fish or walk the coast path east to Marazion for a tour of St Michaels Mount.
If you feel the need to venture further then we highly recommend hopping on the train to St Ives where you will find beautiful beaches, more amazing eateries and a real holiday vibe.

About the location
St Ives 8 miles.
One of Cornwall’s most popular holiday areas. The spectacular sweep of Mount’s Bay, from the cliffside fishing village of Mousehole through Penzance and around to beautiful Marazion, hides a wealth of sandy beaches, rocky coves, winding village streets and other places to visit and explore. Connected by causeway to the shore at Marazion is the National Trust’s stunningly beautiful St Michael’s Mount with its hilltop castle and Mediterranean gardens. Walk across at low water and take one of the ferry boats back when the tide is up. Penzance with its winding streets, shops, clubs, restaurants and harbour is a must as is the jumping-off point for day trips to the Scilly Isles. The South West Coast Path passing through Penzance winds its way along the clifftops towards Land’s End. On the way, stop off for a coffee and a rest at beautiful Lamorna Cove, explore the open air Minack Theatre and marvel at the cliffs as you approach Gwennap Head. A stunning walk for those seeking solitude, exercise and some of the UK’s best coastal scenery. Penzance is the perfect holiday base. Ideally placed for exploring this land of Celtic myth and legend and with enough to do and see in the immediate area to keep all the family occupied.
