“Mel made sure Swift Cottage more than lived up to our expectations.”

There was everything we could possibly need and more. All the special little touches like flowers in every room, welcoming wine and even treats for the dog were brilliant. Mel obviously goes the extra mile to make her visitors feel both welcome and special

The property

A homely barn conversion located in the village of East Taphouse, set alongside a small collection of character cottages, down a long winding farm lane off the road to the famous fishing port of Looe.

Perfect for a romantic holiday or a calming getaway by the sea, there is much to please visitors from the delightful countryside to historic market towns.

As you arrive at the cottage, wander through the pretty garden and enter inside, where you will find a charming hallway.

First you have the cosy sitting room with its comfortable furnishings, perfect for a relaxing night in, and the kitchen/diner ensures you have everything you need on hand.

Three steps from the lounge will take you to the beautiful double bedroom, adjoined to a classic shower room which forms a lovely set-up.

Outside, the wonderful English country garden is a nice spot to sit and relax in at any time of day and a few steps up from the garden is the patio area with barbecue, providing an ideal place for alfresco dining.

Polperro and Fowey and many spectacular sandy beaches and coves lie on the South Coast, whilst the rugged and dramatic Bodmin Moor is just 10 minutes to the north.

Further afield, Plymouth is only a 30-minute drive away as is the windswept northern coastline, with Padstow, Newquay, Tintagel and anywhere from Dartmoor to Land's End all accessible for an enjoyable day out.
