The village benefits from great facilities including an excellent pub and two cafes by the beach.Very close to the property is a community village shop that can supply fresh food, including hot Cornish pasties, and other essentials.

With so many of the area's fantastic beaches and beautiful coastal villages close by, as well as the famous seaside town of Bude just eight miles away, this really is the place for a fantastic holiday by the sea whatever the time of year.

The property has been completely refurbished with quality in mind, and the lounge offers two sofas that are located to take in the views to the front of the property or allow use of the widescreen TV with Fire stick, creating a lovely atmosphere.So kick off your shoes and relax after a day of exploring the coastline.

The kitchen/diner is accessed through double doors, and the designated chef may go to work preparing a favourite home-cooked meal while using the electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher to clean up.Relax and chat from the breakfast bar with a glass of something while cooking takes place.

Sliding patio doors open to a patio and enclosed south facing rear garden, perfect for alfresco dining and catching the last of the evening sun with a beverage in hand.

Return inside to find the bedrooms with blackout curtains, which include a master bedroom with a king-size bed, as well as a double bedroom and twin bedroom.

A bathroom and separate shower room are conveniently close to the bedrooms allowing you to choose how you want to freshen up.

Crackington Haven also enjoys magical sunsets over the beach, so relax and have a drink, making the most of every minute.You can also experience the stars at night at Oaklea, as stargazing is enhanced by the complete lack of light pollution.

Why not join the nearby South West Coast Path and appreciate the stunning coastal vistas.You can stroll up to Pencarrow Point to the north or towards Cambeak to the south of the beach, and climb High Cliff, aptly named as it is Cornwall's highest cliff.Enjoy breathtaking scenery and stunning walks in every direction.

In Bude you have access to a wide array of watersports including surfing (with boards for hire and lessons available), stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking.You can also test out the waters at Bude Sea Pool, a semi-natural tidal pool perfect for wild swimming on the fringes of the Atlantic Ocean.Bude town has many surf shops, independent retailers, cafes, and restaurants.

The sandy beaches of Widemouth Bay and Trebarwith Strand are also within a short drive.

The charming seaside village of Boscastle, is just six miles away and has several restaurants close to the harbour, and a variety of gift shops where you may buy items to take home.The village is also home to the Museum of Witchcraft and Magic and National Trust café and shop.

Nearby you can visit Tintagel and immerse yourself in history, magical myths and stunning scenery at Tintagel Castle made famous by the legends of King Arthur and Merlin.The village is steeped in a charming past that delights its visitors with myth and mystery all surrounding a rocky headland off the North Cornwall coast.

Cycling or walking the Camel Trail from Wadebridge or beyond offers fantastic scenery.For keen cyclists you can also access the Cornish Way and West Country Way cycling routes from Bude.

Port Isaac is only a short journey away too, so TV’s Doc Martin fans can take a stroll around the filming locations of Portwenn and experience the charming little fishing village and narrow winding streets that lead you on a historical journey, past, white-washed cottages down to the atmospheric harbourfront.

Slightly further afield you can explore other Cornish attractions such as Bodmin Moor 10 miles, Lanhydrock House and Gardens (National Trust) 24 miles, Padstow 28 miles, Eden project 30 miles , Newquay 36 miles, The Lost Gardens of Heligan 38 miles.

Crackington Haven is a charming cove near Boscastle, with a mix of rockpools, a sandy beach and good surf. There are two beach shops and cafes, which are wonderful to relax in and look out over the blue seas of the bay. Walking this section of the South West Coast Path, much of it owned by the National Trust, offers dramatic views, a host of wildflowers and an undulating terrain. Just along the coast is the quaint village of Boscastle, with gift shops, local restaurants and pubs offering good food, Cornish real ales and live entertainment by local musicians, making this an ever-popular visitor destination. The sandy Trebarwith Strand beach is within a short drive, as are the surfing beaches at Bude and Polzeath. Close at hand lies Tintagel, swathed in the legend of King Arthur, as well as several stately homes and renowned gardens, or the wide open space of Bodmin Moor, famous for its granite tors and Daphne Du Maurier’s Jamaica Inn.
