“Wi-Fi would have been good but didn’t cause any problems.”

Microwave wasn’t working properly and outside furniture was grubby . Apart from these niggles the apartment was amazing. The view from the garden was fantastic. Very comfortable lovely bath . Would book again . Thanku

“The property suited us very well.”

I loved that sofa covers were provided for the dog. The only improvement could be somewhere in the hall to hang coats. It is unfortunate that building work is going on next door which prevented us enjoying the balcony in the day and drove our dog crazy even though the builders were obviously trying to be as quiet as possible. We hope to stay again in the future

“Absolutly appalling.”

there is a building site adjacent to apt 1, the noise being unbearable. the owner, sykes cottages and cornish cottages all dishonest claiming not to know and claim it to be an unfortunate circumstance. very unhelpful and unkind. i would definatly not recommend the apt or the booking agents. still no compensation agreed. silence, ignorance and dishonesty being there best features. we needed a well earned rest and got nothing but stress and dissatisfaction. please do not give these people your buisness, they are money grabbers offering a £39 goodwill geasture. basically an insult. i have never complained before but feel so strongly about the lack of response i would not wish anyone else to experience what we did.

“This was a Golden Wedding Anniversary gift to ourselves we could not fault anything in relation to apartment it was stepping into luxury however our only disappointment was the access to beach with our dog.”

There was a very long walk to the route to the beach as you leave apartment from the right, although in front of apartments with very nice area laid with Astro turf on several occasions which we could only assume were locals were walking their dogs and we were advised it could not be used,which we believe would have made walk to beach easier as I have arthritis of spine. That said it was a very well presented and kept apartment. Many thanks to guys we believe had just finished cleaning out apartment and the Manager /groundsman .who on the day helped us in with our cases, and were very polite they are a credit to company. .

“Very comfortable apartment.”

Everything you would need is provided. Beautiful bathrooms with lovely fluffy towels. The beds are extremely comfortable. The kitchen has everything you could wish for, including dishwasher and washing machine. The sea view from the balcony is lovely. Nice gardens that are safe for children and pets. All making our holiday perfect.

“We really enjoyed our stay at the beach view apartments.”

The views over Crantock beach were lovely and the apartment is in a great location to see the sunset! The weather for our week down in Cornwall was amazing, we didn’t have the TV on at all. However, if there had been a rainy day or if we fancied watching something on Netflix one night, this wouldn’t have been possible because there was no WiFi! Not sure why you’d have a smart TV with Netflix installed and no WiFi. To say the apartments are so modern and up to date with fancy Bluetooth mirrors to play your music in the bathroom… you would have thought there’d be WiFi. Over all though, the apartment we stayed in was great and had everything else that we needed!

“Did ask if the property had an iron and hairdryer was told by Sykes it didn't so took my own only to find on arrival it had both an iron and a hairdryer.”

The only downside was although on the ground floor the only access to the garden with a dog is out the front access door and then round the side and through the gate, not ideal if its early hours of the morning and you don't want to disturb anyone. Had an issue with the internal door from the kitchen closed slowly than suddenly slams shut. very strong heavy door and nearly caught our fingers a couple of times think it needs adjusting we had to leave a towel on the floor to stop it shutting completely.

“We booked for 1 week and really enjoyed our stay .”

Although we didn’t need him , the maintenance man was very friendly and helpful. The only problem we had was on the last night of our stay when the building had more guests. The noise from above flats was intolerable . There seemed to be no soundproofing and we got very little sleep. If this had been like it for the whole week we would not have stayed.

“The flat was great, had everything, very well equipped.”

The view from the balcony was great, we could even see if it was high or low tide. The location allowed us to do frequent visits to Crantock beach. Highly recommended, the only con was lack of internet, but this information was available before booking. We very much enjoyed the apartment.

“The apartment was very clean and perfectly situated with rear views it would be difficult to beat.”

I appreciate the apartment block is new and would recommend the following to give a more homely feel. Some cushions for the sofa, wall art and some lamps. Also a hair dryer would also be good. That said, the apartment is great for anyone wanting a Cornish, beach style break with the ability to get about to the other locations Cornwall has to offer. Would definitely stay again.

“We really enjoyed our stay in Apartment 1.”

The views from the balcony are fantastic and the apartment was clean and modern. It is worth mentioning however that there is no direct access to the garden from the apartments, even those on the ground floor. You have to exit the front of the block and walk around the building to get to the garden. So bear this in mind if you hope to stay here. Overall though, it is a lovely place to stay in a great location with fantastic views.

Crantock is a small Cornish village, just a short walk from the beach, close to the popular resort of Newquay.
