“A beautiful apartment with a stunning view.”

The welcome pack was a nice surprise and contained some really useful things. The location of the apartment was very good with the two pubs, well stocked village shop and pizza restaurant within a short walk.

“This is a very high spec apartment with all the amenities you will ever need.”

The balcony and views from same are spectacular as Re the grounds which are also very dog friendly. Remember to bring good walking boots/shoes as the beach and local shops/pubs are a good walk away. Worth the walk though.

“A few points: I was astonished to find there was no wifi!”

I find that unacceptable i'm afraid. I was glad we weren't using Bedroom 2 (apt six). So narrow, not even any room for bedside tables?! Someone else's red T- shirt was stuck down between a bed and the wall - so the cleaners could do better. Soap made from beef fat? Yuk! Otherwise a lovely stay, beautiful terrace balcony. Great views.

“Had a great stay at the Beachview.”

Stay at Crantock at least once a year and the apartment was one of the best. It is very modern with very comfortable beds, the kitchen had all you needed for a stay in meal with top appliances. The views were amazing and loved sitting on the balcony made nicer as all the furniture had comfy cushions (not shown on listing photos). Our only negative was the living room furniture had a lot of dog hairs on, can only assume the previous occupants didn’t use the throws supplied and the cleaners may have missed cleaning them. However this did not spoil in anyway our stay. The maintenance men sorry didn’t catch his name was very friendly and helpful. We are looking forward to our next stay which we booked whilst still there for September. Thanks

We really enjoyed our stay The apartment was warm & modern The area is beautiful & Crantock is a very welcoming place One recommendation is to advise holidaymakers about warning beeps on the entry code lock for the apartment door after operation as it means the battery is about to die & new ones need fitting To avoid being locked out you need to take the key but a diagram of where the key fits needs to be left in the property booklet If it hadn’t of been for Martin who looks after maintenance fortunately being on-site we would of had a problem This would not stop us returning however as it’s a great property

“Absolutely fabulous apartment and a stunning balcony with a view to cherish.”

The Beachview complex comprises of 9 individual modern, well appointed apartments. Each having its own car space. We stayed in 6, on the middle floor, this sleep 4. The lounge is open plan, with dinning area and ample kitchen with appliances. I would thoroughly recommend this complex, it's clean, tidy and well thought out for the user. Beachview stands on the upper road, and the sweet village of Crantock is only 5 mins walk down the hill; this isn't steep. The main beach is another 6 min via the National Trust car park. The beach is stunningly beautiful, with the river running into ocean, all surrounded by rolling hills and steep dunes. Fabulous!. There are countless walks from Beachview to explore. Crantock has plenty to offer, ample stocked shop open everyday till late, and a delightful Cafe (daytime) and Pizzeria in the evening. Also for a the tiny village is blessed with 2 pubs both in touching distance of one another....amazing! The Old Albion, and our favourite the Cornishman is well worth the visit. All in all 10 out of 10 from us....in fact we booked to come again whilst there!

“We had a lovely stay for the week, the flat was really > nice and clean, beds > really comfortable, lovely underfloor heating and the view to die for; and the > balcony would have been > fantastic if the weather had been ok.”

The things that > could have been > improved were - > 1. A dustpan (there was only a brush), so I could only > sweep the dirt into > the corner of each room but not bin it. “Excellent property, everything provided for a great holiday by the sea.”

Lovely welcome pack on arrival. WiFi not available, when booking I didn’t even think to check this! It’s not a reason not to stay but would be useful. Some kind of shelf for soap etc in the en-suite shower would be really helpful.

Some really minor things would get this place a 10 out of 10… No WiFi ! The front door has an annoying tendency to stick when the door code has been input. The locks on the Surf store are rusted shut so we had to leave our boards in our car. The phone number for Sykes on the apartment info details was incorrect. They also say if you have any issues to contact housekeeping but no phone number is provided. Some sofa cushions and some nice coastal prints would really lift the interior. That aside its a lovely spacious, well-kitted-out apartment with great views and in a good location.

“We had a problem with the apartment door which did not lock.”

We reported this as soon as we were aware, but did not receive any help until the following day, meaning we had to stay in as our belongings were not secure. However the caretaker, Martin was extremely helpful and rectified the fault swiftly.

Crantock is a small Cornish village, just a short walk from the beach, close to the popular resort of Newquay. If you want to escape the crowds, yet still be close to the action, this is the place to be.
