    “The back garden is open to a steep slope with barbed wire then the river so had to watch our dog didn’t fall down slope.”

    Thank you for the fantastic rating you gave Treval Lodge on cleanliness; comfort and facilities. Our cleaning staff pride themselves in presenting the accommodation in the best possible way for all our guests. However, I was disappointed to see that you had commented on the property having barbed wire on the slope down to the river. Can I assure you, and other guests reading this comment, that this isn't the case at all. There is no barbed wire on the property. There is already a pig wire fence immediately in front of the river which not only prevents anyone falling in but stops cattle from the neighbouring fields coming into our gardens! Just to reassure you that had your dog fallen down the slope he/she definitely wouldn't have been injured by barbed wire nor fallen into the river. Property Owner

The old market town of Camelford is located close to Cornwall's north coast and is ideally situated for exploring the wild country of Bodmin Moor and the high cliffs, hidden coves, fishing villages and surfing beaches that populate this beautiful area. The southwest coastal path is a year round attraction and the surrounding villages and hamlets harbour a wealth of country inns and restaurants. The nearest beach to Camelford is Trebarwith Strand which offers both surf for the more adventurous and safe rock pools for the younger members! Truly wonderful and only around five miles away, it is perfect for a day by the sea and is also dog friendly. Nearby Wadebridge has a vibrant shopping centre and the Camel Trail, while Padstow, Rock, Polzeath, Port Isaac, where Doc Martin is filmed and Tintagel can all be reached in less than 30 minutes. A superb location all year round.
