  • “Thoroughly enjoyed our week at the cottage, so peaceful and relaxing, my only regret is that I didn’t book for longer.”

The owner was such a nice bloke, nothing was too much trouble. A well thought out holiday cottage.

The property

Tewennow Cottage is superbly positioned next to the sand dunes, tucked away along a scenic country lane in the hamlet of Ellenglaze.

Nestled in rural bliss, it makes the perfect setting for couples or individuals to escape and relax in a timeless location.

For beachcombers, walkers, golfers and those with dogs, the expansive golden beach, rugged coastal footpath and 18-hole links golf course at Holywell Bay (voted as the fourth best view in the country) are all within easy walking distance.

Only two miles from Crantock, five from Newquay and eight miles from Perranporth, this stretch of coastline is renowned for its fabulous beaches and is a paradise for surfers and water sports enthusiasts.

The cottage itself brims with charm, character and warmth, from the wisteria that climbs its exterior to the exposed beams and the sash windows found within its thick whitewashed stone walls.

Supremely comfortable and tastefully furnished, the interior is arranged with a sitting room/diner and a well-equipped kitchen on the ground floor and a spacious bedroom on the first floor, furnished with a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and separate shower cubicle.

The cottage has an enclosed garden to the rear comprising a split-level patio which is a glorious sun-trap and perfect spot to dine alfresco style.

A convenience store is within a short walk and a longer hike will take you to Smugglers Den, a popular pub/restaurant serving local ales and delicious hearty meals.

Parking can be found in front of the cottage.

Cosy and inviting, Tewennow Cottage is an excellent choice for a romantic break during any season.
