You need to make it clear this is a very large urbanisation. ...

You need to make it clear this is a very large urbanisation. Front door lock is temperamental, difficult to turn the key. We were provided with 1 X toilet roll and 1 X bin bag for an 11 night stay for 2 adults. The circular picnic table outside, although lovely, is not ideal to relax on. There were two very small folding wooden chairs and two very small folding fabric chairs, not what you'd expect and we would not use them. Generally not good enough unfortunately. Good points: I did like the opening onto the patio. Only used the nearby site bar once so cannot comment. Good location for Maenpool which is gorgeous. The Trelly pub is great! 20 minute walk. We slept well so the beds must be ok. Nice useable kitchen with utensils. There is a large fenced playing field just a minute walk away with football goals, kids play area. As no one was on there it was ideal to let our dog have a run, the only place the dog could have a run in the area. On the whole, our holiday was great, just a shame the points above took the edge off the stay but little points that can be addressed.

“Lovely bungalow property, very comfortable and well appointed also spotlessly clean.”

We had a dog with us and there were pleasant walks through the grounds of the complex and beyond. We were too early in the year for the onsite club and other facilities to be open,but it was an ideal location for visiting other locations in Falmouth and National Trust gardens etc. We would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Accommodation home from home. Staff that were there were excellent. Only drawback was reception was not manned . Would definitely return.

“Floors filthy upon arrival hadn’t been cleaned, Cobwebs in bathroom, Front rug was disgusting could do with being washed, stains on one of the bed linen, couldnt park as the space was either taken or too tight as people parked up to the lines so they could get out so just parked outside.”

Kids couldn’t go on the park as it was all taped off, main thing was the boiler. Hot water lasted 5 minutes even with the so called boost on so mum and kids showered together for literally 5 minutes I had to wait another 40 minutes to get a 2 minute shower not recommended for more than 1 person staying especially when we are trying to go out for tea. Spending this much money on a week you would think the boiler would be upgraded and unlikely to get any sort of refund either.

“Perfect for a family getaway!”

“Initially thought cottage was v clean.”

however found thick dust on top of wardrobe and behind beds. obviously been there a long time. covid lives in dust so not impressed.

In the welcome pack at the property it does encourage visitors to contact the Housekeeper should they find anything untoward. “Lovely space just needs updating as looks tired.”

There was 4 of us staying but all struggled to have hot showers and that was even splitting into 2 in morning and 2 in evening. We had read this on previous reviews but didn’t think it would be that bad. Would definitely stay on the complex again.

“Had a lovely change of scene during this difficult time.”

The bungalow was as I expected having been there before. Its in an ideal situation on the site and provided all that was needed for myself and doggy companion. The site is well located for the local beaches and a range of attractions. Thank you.

“We had a lovely time at Chy Lowena, it was a comfortable cottage, in beautiful surroundings.”

Our only complaint would be that the cottage definitely didn’t have the ‘deep clean’ that we had been told about - it was clean, but not as clean as it should be during a pandemic! Also the hot water system is a pain, we had to keep boosting the water in order to have a shower/bath/wash up. You only had a few minutes before it went cold again. But it’s a beautiful cottage, lovely surroundings and we had a wonderful time. S

“Lovely bungalow with great amenities.”

Bungalow clean and tidy, the only problem we had was the hot water didn’t last long enough for a family of 4 with 2 young children. The bungalow was well equipped just missing a dishwasher. I would stay this property again. Thank you

“We found this place to be somewhat tired.”

There were lots of dishwasher tablets, but no dishwasher. There was a washing machine, but no dryer and a rather inadequate airer. The toilet cistern took ages to refill after being flushed. It was basically clean, but we vacuumed under radiators etc as very dusty and pet hair left. Why does no one ever clean windows in a holiday place? We found Pendra Loweth to be extremely noisy, but our fault for booking during school holidays. Sunday and Friday afternoon was spent listening to scrambling/off road bikers in the field behind the car park, which was extremely annoying. It was hot during our stay, so there were people outside very late at night, including children. At this time of year, Pendra Loweth is for the young with families, but definitely not for people like us who want a peaceful, quiet break. The one thing we really liked were the superb gardens.

Beautiful setting in a group of other houses and bungalows, surrounded by immaculate gardens. Wish you could have organised the weather as well as you had the booking. Just as well we had such a cozy place to stay. A real home from home.

Bit of confusion over parking place for the bungalow at first but soon resolved. Didn't realise there was wifi available until half way through the week when we found a Talktalk hub in the cleaning cupboard ! Good location for walking the coastal path and we will definitely be back.

“The cottage has been refurbished since pictures on booking.”

Com we're taken. I especially booked as we wanted two sofas. As the pictures showed, unfortunately there was only one and two tub chairs. Although the overall effect was pleasing it didn't deliver on comfort. Also no dishwasher as stated. Although this didn't bother us. Having said this the cottage was very nice, in lovely surroundings. A good base for exploring all that Cornwall has to offer

“Chy Lowena has recently been tastefully refurbished and as such was all in a lovely condition.”

It is in a lovely position on the site and as I went in February it was extremely quiet. The weather was fantastic and it is so near a range of beaches myself and my dog loved it. The bungalow being tiled made it easy and practical to keep clean from sandy paws. The little things left like coffee tea bags biscuits sugar washing up liquid etc made it feel immediately inviting. Having had a bad experience in another property on the site the previous year I wanted to return but was a bit sceptical as the previous property was poorly maintained dirty and had broken blinds lampshades and equipment etc. Chy Lowena restored my faith and I would happily stay again. I would like to point out that dogs are welcome but it is not until you get to the booking stage that you find out that there is a cost. This should be more apparent on the initial listing.
