    “Such a lovely cottage and location.”

    Thank you for the milk, scones and doggy biscuits! It was really clean and fine for just the two of us plus dog. So, overall v positive. Only couple of things: I think it would be too small for 6 people, loo seat downstairs wobbly, pillows un comfy (personal preference though). Loved the garden too and thank you for our stay

The property

Set just a few minutes walk from the bustling town of Falmouth, this pretty period cottage is delightfully tucked away in a residential street above the harbour.

The cottage offers a superb blend of character with exposed stone walls and painted wooden floors alongside contemporary flair.

The sitting room is bright a welcoming, with slate floors and a wood burner stove - a comfy spot to relax with a book or enjoy one of the many games provided.

The smart kitchen is a lovely space to gather and socialise with glazed doors leading out to the neat courtyard garden.

Here you'll find a neat table and chairs where you can enjoy a glass of fizz or canape in the sunshine.

On the first floor are two comfy double bedrooms, one with sea glimpses and a bunk room ideal for children.

They share a family bathroom and there's a further shower room on the ground floor.

Tops'l Cottage is an excellent base from which to explore the golden beaches, quirky fishing villages, hidden creeks and footpaths through woodland and along the coastline.

Falmouth offers a host of attractions for every occasion.Explore the harbour or take a boat to St Mawes or to the cathedral city of Truro.

Castle, Gyllyngvase and Swanpool Beach are all nearby and perfect for a swim, surf or kayak, or get busy with a net and bucket and explore the rock pools.

Visit historic Pendennis Castle, once home to Henry VIII or enjoy a ramble along the picturesque coastal path to Helford Passage.

The sub-tropical gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan are waiting to be explored.

The Helford River with secret river inlets and the Lizard Peninsula, with scenic coves set against dramatic granite cliffs are within easy reach by car; Kynance Cove is breathtaking and will not disappoint.

With so much to see and do nearby, Tops'l Cottage is an ideal holiday cottage in a superb location.

Falmouth, with its magnificent natural harbour (the third largest in the world), winding streets and beaches, will keep you occupied for hours. The town's old harbour-side pubs, excellent shopping, art gallery and stunning National Maritime Museum simply complete the picture. Pendennis Castle, built by Henry VIII, is Falmouth's most popular attraction, sited on its own peninsula with superb panoramic sea views. Across from Falmouth harbour is the beautiful town of St Mawes, surrounded by the rocky coves, sandy beaches and lush green countryside of the Roseland Peninsula. Go there by car (15 miles) or take the passenger ferry from Falmouth (15 minutes). For nature lovers there is the Swanpool Nature Reserve, a lagoon and site of special scientific interest teeming with a variety of wildlife. There is also a golf course. Falmouth offers such a rich variety of landscape and attractions for people of all ages, it is sure to tempt you back time and again.
