The property

Zephyr, a stylish three-bedroom cottage, is located in a lovely Cornish hamlet, just on the outskirts of Gweek, accommodating six guests.

The house is the ideal location for a family or group of friends looking to explore Southern Cornwall, offering expansive views of the countryside, a private garden, contemporary open-plan living space, flexible sleeping configurations, and a homely first-floor snug.

Your new home from home further benefits from being family-friendly, with a range of toddler and infant supplies available on request, including a cot, highchair, and stairgate.

Parking is available on the private driveway before you enter the bright living area, which is perfect for serving as your social hub and where you can create delectable foods, have a group dinner, and unwind on the plush corner sofa with views of the garden.

If you'd want to eat outside in the tranquil setting, head outdoors to the patio, or on chilly evenings, head up to the first floor where you'll discover a designated snug place where you can curl up and watch a film.

As the night progresses, choose between one of the three well-presented ground-floor bedrooms with adequate storage, including a king-size with en-suite, and two doubles (zip/links which can be arranged as twin or super-king-size), along with a ground-floor family bathroom.

Nearby in the village of Mawgan, you can find restaurants like The Ship Inn, where you can treat your loved ones to a delicious dinner, and convenience stores, where you can stock up on essentials and a wide variety of locally sourced delicious culinary treats and fayre.

In addition, Gweek is close by and has a wider variety of amenities and attractions, such as the Black Swan pub, the Boatyard Café for a hearty breakfast, Moon Bay Chinese Restaurant for authentic Chinese cuisine, and Immerse Outdoors for paddle boarding, kayaking, and canoeing on the Helford River or the Cornish Seal Sanctuary for meeting the local marine life.

Drive on to Penrose, a National Trust site where you can take in the scenery on peaceful strolls, hire bicycles to complete the loop around Loe Pool, refuel with delicacies from the Lakeside Cafe, let the kids burn off some energy in the playground, skatepark and cruising around the Boating Lake on family pedalos throughout the summer months, or sign up to do a park run.

The next destination is Porthleven, where you can enjoy seafood with a view at Amélie and alfresco-style at Mussel Shoal, ice cream from Nauti But Ice while you wander the harbour, a boat ride to catch fish or spot the local wildlife, a refreshing sea swim in the protected harbour, thrilling jumping off the middle harbour wall at high tide, or a hike along the breath-taking Porthleven Cliffs.

Church Cove of Poldark fame and Poldhu Cove featuring Dan Joel Surf School are also great options for continuing the beach fun only a short drive from Zephyr.

Both boast cafes, facilities, family-friendly streams, and are the perfect venues to watch the sunset with a portable barbecue.

Zephyr further benefits from being at the gateway to the Lizard Peninsula, the southerly tip of mainland Britain, coastal walks take in dramatic cliff scenery, rare wildflowers and an interesting coastal history.

Kynance Cove, with its sandy beach and islands of serpentine stone, has attracted visitors since Victorian times and still captivates people today.

The Eden Project near St Austell, the lovely seaside resort of Carbis Bay, a scenic road trip along the remote coastline and mighty cliffs between St Ives and Sennen, via charming Zennor and the world-famous Land's End in Sennen… All are within easy driving distance of your new home, making it easy to plan day trips to all of Cornwall's top attractions.

Experience Cornwall like never before with a stay at Zephyr.
