The cottage was spotless on arrival. Two bedrooms of similar size with double but comfortable beds. The extra shower and toilet downstairs ideal with 2 couples. Lounge comfy and good size for 4 adults. Nice size dining room and well equipped kitchen. Dishwasher, large freezer and fridge and good cooker in well equipped kitchen. Lovely garden and outside space. We found location ideal for exploring. Local pubs good too. Very peaceful. Nice neighbours. We had two cars and had no trouble finding parking for the second although space at cottage is only really suitable for a smaller vehicle.

About the location

Marazion 1.5 miles; Penzance 4 miles; Helston 11 miles.

A typically Cornish country village with picturesque houses, shops and village pubs, Goldsithney is set back from the coast, thus escaping the main tourist rush, yet lying close to all the main attractions. Dominating the area and just 2 miles away is the off shore island castle of St Michael's Mount - reaching it via the causeway when the tide is out is a must. Right on the doorstep there are fabulous beaches, the coastal path (winding its way over the cliff tops) and plenty of sailing and fishing. Visit Penzance, with its slightly bohemian air, the cliff-top theatre at Minack or the stunningly beautiful fishing villages of Marazion and Mousehole - a superb base for exploring beautiful Cornwall.
