All a family could want, Elm is a sweet country-cosy retreat with fun facilities for kids and easy access to the wide sandy beaches along the Atlantic coastline. Elm sits at the end of a tree lined farm track in an idyllic countryside setting, a mile from the village pub at Goonhavern and less than a 15 minute drive from the beaches and coastal footpath at Perranporth, Newquay and St Agnes.
Next to the owners big farmhouse is an old sturdy granary barn, now converted into four holiday apartments.
Elm is located on the first floor and has direct access to a large communal garden with picnic benches and a play area for children and pets to romp in.
A holiday here feels like a return to innocence where scenic rambles can commence from the front door step.
The fishing communities at Padstow, Port Isaac and St Ives are a must-see and if it rains, the Eden Project, Crealy Adventure Playground and Newquay Zoo will provide fun for all the family without the need of a long car journey and hefty car parking charges. Beneath an apex beamed ceiling, the open plan living room with a rustic wood burner style electric fire looks onto the garden and tranquil fields.
Practical for families, there is a bathroom, separate shower room and three pretty bedrooms.
Two are decorated with a romantic, cottage-inspired theme whilst children love the twin bedroom with its nautical decor.
There is a championship links golf course and convenience store nearby.

About the location
Newquay 9 miles; Truro 9.5 miles.
Perranporth, a beautiful Cornish coastal town, lies in the heart of Poldark Country, the setting for the novels of Winston Graham who lived in Perranporth in the 1930s. Perranporth offers plenty of traditional pubs and shops, plus a classic bucket-and-spade beach that is lifeguarded in summer, overlooked by craggy rocks and a wonderful coastal path. Once known as the source of the finest tin, the community still retains reminders of the rich heritage with abandoned pump houses, mine shafts and workers’ cottages. The local Blue Hills Museum and Perranzabuloe Folk Museum are both well worth a visit to understand the fascinating history of this coastal area. Further afield are the miles of sandy beaches at Crantock and Holywell Bay, and the breathtaking coastal walks around St Agnes, much of it owned by the National Trust. A perfect holiday base in Cornwall, with an abundance of activities to suit everyone.
Note: Max 4 adults & 2 children. No smoking
