In a tranquil setting overlooking a lush green valley Saddle Cottage offers the perfect retreat for families and couples.
Situated less than 2 miles inland from the south coast at Penzance and the sandy beaches of Mount's Bay, Saddle Cottage is a privately owned residence in the grounds of the Kenegie Manor Holiday Village.
Between March and October guests at Saddle Cottage have unlimited use of a range of on-site facilities including an indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, tennis courts, pitch and putt, children's play area, wireless internet and a Club House with a licensed bar. Ideal for walkers and dog owners, footpaths run directly from the village to join the South West Coastal Path and the moors of West Cornwall.
Nearby Penzance has abundance of beautiful architecture, sub-tropical gardens, individual shops and art galleries and we recommend that it is explored on foot.
It is also home to the Jubilee Pool, one of the country's remaining art-deco lidos which is open from May to September with an excellent cafe serving coffees, cakes and lunches to hungry swimmers or spectators.
A stroll along the seafront east from Penzance will bring you to Marazion and St Michael's Mount.
Accessible by foot over a causeway at low tide or by paddling if you are impatient, a ferry runs at high tide to transport you to this medieval hilltop castle. Occupying a secluded corner of the village, Saddle Cottage offers comfortable accommodation for five guests over three floors.
The open plan living space on the ground floor has French windows to a lovely westerly facing terrace, perfect for lazy lunches or sundowners.
Let the hours slip by here with a good book or simply watch the animals grazing happily in the valley beyond.

About the location
St Ives 8 miles.
One of Cornwall’s most popular holiday areas. The spectacular sweep of Mount’s Bay, from the cliffside fishing village of Mousehole through Penzance and around to beautiful Marazion, hides a wealth of sandy beaches, rocky coves, winding village streets and other places to visit and explore. Connected by causeway to the shore at Marazion is the National Trust’s stunningly beautiful St Michael’s Mount with its hilltop castle and Mediterranean gardens. Walk across at low water and take one of the ferry boats back when the tide is up. Penzance with its winding streets, shops, clubs, restaurants and harbour is a must as is the jumping-off point for day trips to the Scilly Isles. The South West Coast Path passing through Penzance winds its way along the clifftops towards Land’s End. On the way, stop off for a coffee and a rest at beautiful Lamorna Cove, explore the open air Minack Theatre and marvel at the cliffs as you approach Gwennap Head. A stunning walk for those seeking solitude, exercise and some of the UK’s best coastal scenery. Penzance is the perfect holiday base. Ideally placed for exploring this land of Celtic myth and legend and with enough to do and see in the immediate area to keep all the family occupied.
