The property

Mabe Burnthouse 2.3 miles.

This pleasant, detached home, Moorstone, is located in the small village of Treverva in Cornwall.

This home features a spacious, enclosed garden for alfresco dining in the sunshine and unspoiled rural views, making it ideal for families with two furry friends.

A big driveway awaits you, where you may park your car before entering the hallway, where you can kick off your shoes and get ready to explore.

The sitting area, complete with a crackling woodburning stove and a Smart TV playing family favourites, is the ideal spot to rest after a day of adventure.

Locate the navy-blue kitchen/diner as you move around your vacation home; here, you can use the electric oven and hob to create culinary delights, and there is a dishwasher to do the cleaning for you.

Gather around the dining table for a home-cooked lunch while catching up on the day's events; later, relax on the grass with a chilled beverage.

The garden is perfect for youngsters to run around in while the grownups relax on the picnic seat.

As the evening grows cooler, head inside to the utility room, which includes a washing machine for freshening up your clothing for the next day and storage for surfboards.

Head upstairs to the shower room to prepare for a night's embrace before choosing from three well-appointed bedrooms.

There are three bedrooms: a sage green king-size, a double, and a twin, all with adequate storage and views of the greenery.

Enjoy a cup of tea in the sunroom in the morning to appreciate your tranquil surroundings, and then disappear into the pages of a book.

Because Moorstone is near a reservoir, you can wake up tired eyes with a pleasant morning stroll and a home-cooked breakfast at Wild Vibes Argal, a lakeside cafe.

The hamlet of Mabe has everything you need, including a well-stocked convenience store and The New Inn, a cheerful, pet-friendly tavern.

Visit Falmouth, a bustling and colourful town with a lovely coastline and the imposing Pendennis Castle.

The National Maritime Museum Cornwall and the Falmouth Art Gallery are also located here.

There are numerous shops, bars, and restaurants to visit, and the town serves as an excellent starting point for exploring the rest of Cornwall.

Truro, a delightful and historic city with plenty of attractions to keep you busy, is also worth a visit.

For a place to celebrate connection and creativity, head to Chyan Cultural Centre, or visit Kernow Adventure Park, Cornwall’s hidden outdoor activity centre located in Kessel Quarry, then why not pop down to Skinner's Brewery and Tap Yard Bar for a taste of true Cornish brew.

Check out the stores and cafes in the city centre for some retail therapy.

Consider Moorstone for a wonderful holiday.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £100.

About the location

MABE

Falmouth 4 miles; Truro 10 miles.

A small hamlet just 4 miles from the maritime town and harbour of Falmouth. The surrounding countryside offers rolling fields, country lanes and misty, atmospheric creeks that wind their way inland from the sea through deep, wooded valleys. The area is perfect for lovers of breathtaking countryside, for enjoying time in boats and for long country walks. Falmouth, with its magnificent natural harbour (third largest in the world), winding streets and beaches will keep you occupied for hours. Its old harbour-side pubs, excellent shopping, Pendennis Castle and the stunning new National Maritime Museum complete the picture. Across the harbour is the beautiful town of St Mawes, surrounded by the rocky coves, sandy beaches and lush green countryside of the Roseland Peninsula. Go there by car (15 miles) or take the passenger ferry from Falmouth (15 minutes).
