The property

Surrounded by meadows, woodlands and the river Camel on the fringes of Bodmin Moor is Watermill.

This pretty slate hung former watermill provides perfect accommodation for friends and families wishing to escape to the picturesque Cornish coast.

Step in through the storm porch to a bright and spacious sitting room, where you and your loved ones can look forward to spending time relaxing on the sofa in the warmth of the wood burning stove.

A well-equipped kitchen provides everything you'll need to prepare hearty meals.

At the end of an exciting day exploring, choose from three restful bedrooms; a kingsize bedroom on the ground floor which has its own shower, basin and separate WC, and on the first floor a double bedroom and a room with three single beds.

They share a family bathroom.

Outside you will find a lovely enclosed lawned garden with picnic bench.

Sit back and enjoy the sounds of nature and babble of the river, or step out on a clear night and marvel over the dark star filled skies.

For days out, sun, sea and sandcastles abound at the nearby beaches of Tregardock, Trebarwith Strand and Polzeath.

Relax on the sand, explore rock pools or before tackling the famous Cornish waves.

Brush up on the local history by visiting nearby Bodmin which houses a 18th century jail or the Grade II listed country house of Pencarrow.

About the location

ST BREWARD

Bodmin 7 miles; Lostwithiel 14 miles; Padstow 17 miles; St Austell 20 miles.

St Breward is a small village set amongst beautiful countryside in Cornwall, about 7 miles from Bodmin. The village offers all the amenities you will require during your stay with a shop, village hall, church, two playgrounds and a pub. A footpath in the village creates a nice circular loop past the holy well, the church and across the River Camel. Nearby, you can also enjoy the Camel Trail which is popular with both walkers and cyclists and winds its way through the town Wadebridge on its journey to the sea at Padstow. On the edge of the town of Bodmin is the fascinating museum and haunting presence of the old Bodmin Jail, which was built from granite excavated from this very quarry back in 1840. Close by are the open spaces and wind swept grandeur of Bodmin Moor while the incomparable Eden Project (11 miles), Falmouth’s National Maritime Museum (30 miles) and the beautiful harbour town of Padstow with its famous pubs and restaurants (16 miles) make for great days out. There is a good choice of country pubs and restaurants in the surrounding area.
