“The cottage had all the facilities you could need.”

Kitchen utensils pans trays, towels, hangers etc Was in a quiet but pleasant location. Some nice touches such as welcome pack. Kitchen utensils pans trays, towels, hangers etc Was in a quiet but pleasant location. Some nice touches such as welcome pack. The thing that was our biggest concern and let down was that the cottage felt damp. When you walked in each day after being out -it smelt and felt damp. Our bedding in the main bedroom was damp and I had to tumble dry it a couple of times as wasn’t comfortable getting into bed with it feeling that way. We aired the second bedroom bedding each day also rather than make the bed to try and help this room also. We do appreciate it is an old cottage ( and have previously lived in an old cottage ourselves ) but it isn’t acceptable for us to have to wash all of our clothes when we arrive back home due to the smell and feel of them after them being in the cottage. My husband and son have asthma, so we tried to spend as much time out of the cottage as possible to avoid this affecting them. Would definitely recommend someone checks this out and quite importantly remedies this issue for other guests. Unfortunately we would not recommend this cottage.
