    Mr Strachan

“A very nice, clean and well presented house which provided a good base for our week long visit to Cornwall.”

Excellent beds and facilities. (Wash basin taps drain slowly and some brochures were last year's. Otherwise excellent.)

The property

Poldark Cottage is a attractive, whitewashed cottage tucked away in a quiet lane, just off the harbour in the historic village of Charlestown.

With private parking directly opposite and your very own, enclosed garden to the rear, make the most of this charming position and enjoy a quality break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Step into the living room and immediately feel at home in your surroundings, sink into the armchair with your favourite book or curl up with a loved one on the sofa in front of the woodburner - ideal for those chilly winter nights.

The bright, uplifting décor adds to the quality feel and the dining area tucked into the far corner makes a lovely spot for a tasty home prepared meal or a competitive board game.

The kitchen is well-appointed with a large fridge/freezer and everything you need to assist your stay.

The first floor plays host to three well furnished bedrooms, two offering zip-and-link beds for alternative sleeping arrangements.

Choose from the family bathroom or the shower room for a lovey hot soak after an adventurous outing or a refreshing shower each morning.

Relax on the sunny patio at any time of the day!

Sit with a chilled drink during the summer months but be sure to wrap up warm in autumn if crisp mornings with a coffee and a newspaper take your fancy.

Explore the historic village, with its Georgian character and many amenities close by.

For those who enjoy golf, there are many well-established golf courses in the area, while the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project are also well worth a visit.

Explore the South West Coast Path, hidden coves and sandy beaches.

This is a superb base to choose for your next holiday in Cornwall.
