    “Good property in a good location, great food available on site.”

    A little hilly for the older visitors or those wheelchairs and the parking is a pain loading unloading all your provisions for the week. All in all a great find with loads of free local entertainment and beautiful scenery plus welcoming staff.

The property

Sitting amongst the excitement of the Honicombe Manor Holiday Park, surrounded by the amazement of the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Holly Hedge Cottage is wonderfully placed for your family holiday to this scenic area of Cornwall.

Sleeping up to six guests, this cottage is perfect for a family escape, with a plethora of fun-filled attractions on your doorstep waiting to be discovered.

Make yourself at home within the open-plan living space where the two leather sofas await you to settle down and snuggle up into your evening with your loved ones amidst.

Sit together at the dining table in the centre of the room for a family-fun evening of board games ahead of enjoying a home-cooked meal prepared in the amply-equipped kitchen.

At the end of each day of adventure, seek comfort in one of the three bedrooms, choosing from the master super-king-size, a double and a twin, offering a wonderful layout for the whole family to catch up on their rest.

Outside the cottage benefits from its own private patio, so you can sit out and enjoy alfresco dining in the summer months, or simply sit out with your morning cup of coffee with your canine companion by your side.

The holiday resort itself is home to a good selection of amenities to keep all ages entertained; enjoy a dining experience in the resort's restaurant followed by a celebratory beverage, or spend time whiling away the hours with some leisure facilities including both an indoor and outdoor heated pool and children's play area, or treat yourself to a massage or beauty treatment on your relaxing retreat.

A wider selection of attractions can be found within the local village of St. Ann's Chapel, including a wider selection of eateries for celebrating that special occasion, as well as a donkey park, sure to offer excitement for the whole family.

Explore the Tamar Valley AONB, with a plethora of walking and cycling routes, the opportunity to explore by horseback and National Trust attractions such as the medieval house of Cotehele and the Grade I listed 700-year-old Buckland Abbey, there's plenty to explore here.

Slightly further afield is Plymouth, boasting a beautiful quayside, a plethora of eateries home to cuisines of all kinds, the National Maritime Aquarium and the Black Friar's Distillery, providing opportunities to explore Devon's coast while being based amongst the beauty of Cornwall.

St Ann's Chapel is a hamlet in the parish of Calstock, just west of Gunnislake, in Cornwall. Set in a beautiful rural location engulfed by the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this small community is now largely residential with a handful of local shops, eating establishments, public houses and small businesses in and around the area. Callington is close by, a market town rich in mining heritage and overlooked by Kit Hill, the highest point in the area. From the top of Kit Hill there are fabulous views across south-east Cornwall as far as Plymouth Sound, a must for the outdoor enthusiast. The market town of Tavistock lies 6 miles to the north and offers a range of local shops. Plymouth is a vibrant city with a flourishing university and has the benefit of a main line rail station with access to London Paddington. This wonderful area offers much to be explored, a delightful region of Cornwall to choose as a base.

Note: A booking system is in operation for the swimming pools & gym. Bookings are accepted once you are onsite via reception.

Note: Holiday park restrictions prevent workers/contractors staying on site.

Note: Dogs are welcome, however breeds listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 are not permitted.

Note: This property has a private water supply which is tested regularly.

Note: Site Gym and Pool Rules - No under 16's permitted to use the gym. Pool - under 16's must be accompanied by an adult, two children max per adult. Under 8's/Non-swimmers should always be accompanied by a competent adult in the pool. No balls except beach balls. There are no lifeguards on duty.

Please note:
Upgrading works are currently undergoing in the holiday park to modernize underground sewage piping system.
No disruption will occur in the properties and the piping system will be in use without any restrictions.
The works are planned to end by the end of March 2022.
Heavy machinery and trucks could use the internal holiday park roads and could possibly not adhere to the one-way system due to the large turning circle.
