“Lovely cottage with everything we needed.”

Spotlessly clean and comfortable. It would benefit from having a new roasting tin and a more substantial outside light so I could see the dogs in the garden at night. Will certainly use Sykes Cottages again, thank you.

Woodpeckers Barn is a lovely barn conversion located in the village of St. Keyne in the Cornwall countryside.

With vaulted, beamed ceilings and a woodburning stove, this pet-friendly property retains much of its character and offers a fantastic base for two couples or a family of four.

Before touring your holiday home, put your car in the off-road parking space and enter to find a bright open-plan living space.

The small cooking area has an electric oven and range for rustling up hearty meals, and when they're done, gather around the dining table for a toast to your retreat.

Relax on the plush sofa as the woodburning stove crackles in the background and turn on the television for a movie night.

When the sun is shining, take your dog out into the back garden and relax while they stretch their legs.

As the evening draws in, retire inside to one of the king-size or twin bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom; slip into bed, and why not escape into a favourite book?

A cup of tea and a home-cooked meal await you at the dining table as you make plans for the day ahead.

Explore Kilminorth Woods with your walking boots on, or head to Looe for a sandy beach and a glimpse into the past at Looe Museum.

Spend the day exploring Liskeard's mediaeval town, which is lined with independent shops where you may find a one-of-a-kind souvenir, as well as the tranquil Carnglaze Caverns and Golitha Falls.

History buffs could visit Liskeard Museum to learn everything there is to know about the market town, or wander around The House of Murals to see historic artwork.

At Woodpeckers Barns, you'll find all of this and more.

This property can be booked with Pheasant Barn ref:1112676 on the same site: together they can sleep up to six people.
