“The location of this modernised farmhouse is tremendous, set on a clifftop above Lamorna, which means access is a little tricky, three quarters of a mile down an unmade bumpy gravel track.”
It’s a 50 minutes walk to Mousehole and 20 to 30 minutes walk to Lamorna on public footpaths. Walking by road is much further.
The property is very spacious although the seating in the lounge is limited.
The sleeping accommodation is beautiful and extremely comfortable, two bedrooms with phenomenal sea views.
There are two bathrooms and a downstairs toilet, but no shower, which could be a drawback. One of the baths and toilet are directly under a window and as the property is overlooked at the back, the blind had to be kept down.
The kitchen is fairly well equipped although lids for the frying pans were lacking.
An inventory before we arrived would have been very useful.
A huge plus is the utility room which, because of the boiler, proved a terrifically good drying room. However, oddly, although there is a tumble dryer there is no airer. As we were staying two weeks, we actually bought a cheap airer and were glad of it.
The garden is small and although there is a fixed granite table and benches, there is no moveable outdoor furniture
We would definitely return to this property.
