  • “We had a lovely holiday staying at Ocean Heights and were very relieved that most of the problems mentioned by previous holidaymakers had been sorted out.”

A few more things had been added to the kitchen equipment and we managed to cook a few meals for six adults with what was available , although the front two rings of the induction hob didn't appear to be working. The house is a modern three storey town house on a quiet street with parking for two cars right up to the front door which was really helpful. Five minutes away you have a Tesco express supermarket and ten minutes walk takes you to Newquay main street with shops and eating places , also there is an Aldi and Asda supermarket. The beach is round the corner and across the road , most of the beaches have steps or steep slopes leading down to them but are well worth the effort ! There is a lovely park ten minutes walk away with cafe and Ice cream shop and Newquay zoo opposite. Outside of Newquay there are fabulous places to visit and there are lots of leaflets in the property with information on places of interest. We found the house to have nice furniture and pictures throughout and bedding and towels and bathrooms clean. It is however worth saying for future holidaymakers that the water pressure on the top floor bathroom is extremely poor if there is water being used elsewhere in the property , the shower flashes LP and goes cold and when it comes back on it is very hot until it regulates itself. Also there is no information or instructions for the cooker , microwave , dishwasher etc . which is unusual , just some brief info on the induction hob. No mention of bin collection day which we discovered to be Monday and put the bin to the kerb edge , no sign of a recycling bin or collection points which is a shame in an age where we are all supposed to be doing our bit for the environment. Also this property has nothing left over in the cupboards , often in our experience in past properties there will be things like condiments left in cupboards and washing up liquid and soap powder maybe left under the sink so you do need to nip round the corner to get in some provisions. All in all this is a lovely property in a good location and hopefully the owner will keep up to the maintenance of it now previous issues have more or less been rectified.
