  • “Lovely lodge and setting around the lake.”

Beds and sofas very comfy, outside furniture was also ok, only downside was Bad smell from sceptic tanks, but got used to it after a while.

Thank you for providing feed back on your stay at 1 Miller's Retreat. We have resolved th smell that was coming from the Klargester in the parking lot, and made a service to keep this on going. Owner relations

The property

A comfortable family lodge situated right on the water in the Cornish resort of Stonerush Lakes, a 5-10 minute drive from the village of Lanreath.

Looking directly over the water, this luxury lodge is the perfect getaway for friends, families and couples alike.

Put your feet up in the bright and airy open plan living area.

The large folding doors let natural light flood in while offering views across the adjacent lake.

The kitchen boasts a modern feel feel with a high-spec setup of appliances, allowing you to make a great meal that can then be enjoyed at the dining table set for four.

There are two bedrooms and bathrooms here; an impressive master with king-size bed and en-suite bathroom as well as the welcoming twin, served by the smart family bathroom.

Perhaps the area where you will be spending the most time is the fabulous surrounding terrace, complete with sunken hot tub and furniture set.

It’s the perfect place to take in the serene atmosphere that is sure to put you at ease.

On-site is the highly recommended Old Mill Restaurant that serves quality food.

Lanreath can be reached in a short drive and holds a traditional pub and village shop, but visit the seaside towns of Looe, Polperro and Fowey for a greater range of attractions.

The rich historic coastline is within easy reach and can be best explored on foot via the South West Coastal Path.

Adding to your sightseeing itinerary is the famous Eden Project and Gardens of Heligan which can found in St Austell, around half an hour’s drive away.

A truly relaxing retreat which can be enjoyed any time of year.

About the location

LANREATH

Pelynt 2 miles; Looe 5 miles; Polperro 6 miles.

Lanreath is a village in southeast Cornwall, five miles west of Looe. Lanreath is rural in character with a local shop and Post Office as well as a parish church. There are a number of ghost stories associated with Lanreath. The best-known features a ghost in black driving a coach pulled by a headless horse. Nearby Pelynt is home to a parish church, a number of local shops and pubs, especially the Jubilee Inn, which was an original farmhouse dating back to the 16th Century. Looe is Cornwall’s second largest fishing port and hence there is always a lively maritime bustle around the quay area of East Looe, which is connected to the quieter West Looe by a seven arched 19th century bridge over the River Looe. The sandy Looe beach adjoins the pier and is very popular with families because of its safe shallow swimming and vast expanse of sand. Polperro is a little further away and is a historic fishing village nestling at the head of a long valley leading down to the sea. With plenty of areas to visit, Lanreath is a quiet, pleasant place offering easy access to the coast, the moors, National Trust properties and Cornwall's famous gardens.
