“99% of the holiday I would class as superb.”

We have been on a number of lodge holidays with other companies but this is the first time we have booked via yourselves. I can’t recommend this site enough.

We have been on a number of lodge holidays with other companies but this is the first time we have booked via yourselves. I can’t recommend this site enough. The only thing that would of made our stay better is if the seating area outside have been clean. The rest of the lodges looked like this had been done or had updated from would seating.

The property

Tucked away in the trees is this delightful lodge, an ideal base for families or couples looking to explore this spectacular part of Cornwall.

The lodge is part of the Stonerush Lakes resort, a stunning 28 acre region that is just two miles from Lanreath village.

Boasting an open plan layout, the living room is a comfortable space finished with a cosy sitting area and well-equipped kitchen.

The addition of the floor to ceiling windows allow for natural light to fill room, which gives off a relaxing vibe.

From the living area you can open the double doors that take you out onto the delightful terrace.

Why not enjoy some alfresco dining whilst you appreciate the tranquil ambiance of your surroundings before having a dip in the hot tub for the perfect end to your day?

There are two bedrooms here; a king-size double benefiting from an en suite shower room and a twin which is served by the family bathroom.

There’s an on-site pub/restaurant should you wish to have a night off from cooking a meal.

There are also a range of lake walks and the enthralling South West oast Path to explore.

The village of Lanreath is an easy drive away and has a post office and village shop.

Further afield are the seaside villages of Looe and Polperro, both offering beaches and a selection of restaurants and mini shops.

The Eden Project is a must visit and can be found in the popular town of St Austell, around half an hours drive away.

A great base for your Cornish adventure.

About the location

Pelynt 2 miles; Looe 5 miles; Polperro 6 miles.

Lanreath is a village in southeast Cornwall, five miles west of Looe. Lanreath is rural in character with a local shop and Post Office as well as a parish church. There are a number of ghost stories associated with Lanreath. The best-known features a ghost in black driving a coach pulled by a headless horse. Nearby Pelynt is home to a parish church, a number of local shops and pubs, especially the Jubilee Inn, which was an original farmhouse dating back to the 16th Century. Looe is Cornwall’s second largest fishing port and hence there is always a lively maritime bustle around the quay area of East Looe, which is connected to the quieter West Looe by a seven arched 19th century bridge over the River Looe. The sandy Looe beach adjoins the pier and is very popular with families because of its safe shallow swimming and vast expanse of sand. Polperro is a little further away and is a historic fishing village nestling at the head of a long valley leading down to the sea. With plenty of areas to visit, Lanreath is a quiet, pleasant place offering easy access to the coast, the moors, National Trust properties and Cornwall's famous gardens.
