The property

With beautiful beaches on the doorstep, pretty village surrounds and St Ives just minutes away, The Pippin offers the best of all worlds.

A cosy retreat, the cottage is in the heart of Lelant, a peaceful village which is bound by the Hayle Estuary to the east and the sweep of St Ives Bay to the north.

The white stretch of Porth Kidney Sands are just 10 minutes' walk away; relatively unknown this beach is simply stunning and lined with incredible sand dunes.

The estuary is literally moments away, where you can hop onto the coast path at low tide and explore the shoreline which is dotted with ancient shipwrecks.

Please do not try to swim in the estuary though as the water is very fast flowing.

The Pippin has characterful accommodation with a lovely inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove making the sitting room a warm and welcoming haven.

Behind this are a small kitchen and a shower room, with the two bedrooms up on the first floor.

Outside the sunny garden has a barbecue and plenty of space to relax and catch up with a good book.

Lelant has limited facilities but the nearby Badger Inn serves food daily and is also home to a basic provisions store.

Golfers will enjoy the 18 hole links course on the edge of the village which welcomes visitors.

With the St Ives branch line just down the hill you can be in the hubbub of the town in no time but be sure to check train times!

The official park and ride is also on the edge of the village if you do miss out.

St Ives needs little introduction; full of life at any time of year there are fabulous restaurants, cafes, boutique shops and galleries lining the picturesque harbour.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £250.

About the location

ST IVES

Penzance 6 miles.

One of Cornwall's prettiest harbour towns, St Ives offers narrow streets, tight-packed cottages nestling around the quayside, the Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth museum, fabulous beaches, superb shops, a thriving community of artists, great pubs and restaurants and much more. With its semi Bohemian lifestyle and romantic air, it's easy to see why this is the county's premier holiday resort. The surrounding area has much for the visitor to see and do with abundant wildlife, fabulous coastal walks, top quality surfing and the Celtic mysteries of the Land's End Peninsula are all within easy reach. A superb destination!

Note: Check in time for this property is 4pm.
