The location is EXCELLENT (the Lizard offered everything we needed and the views are heavenly), the property is beautiful and clean and we had everything we needed. The hamper on arrival was an added 'wow' and very much appreciated. The one and only thing I'd like to add is the mattress in the bedroom with the four poster is too soft, I slept with one of my girls in the twin room. This did not upset my stay in any way and I know that this is probably a personal preference. Other than 'wow, I love this place', this is the only other thing I have to say. Thank you for letting us share your home, I didn't want to leave it! xxxxx

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay in Kynance Bay House. The really good news is that all the beds are 'adjustable' from firm to sumptuous so next time you stay please feel free to remove your topper for a more orthopedic experience... Though that might make it impossible and not just hard to leave your cottage! Property Owner

About the location

Mullion 5 miles; Helston 11 miles.

The village of Lizard is situated on the Lizard Peninsula, the most southerly point in mainland England. Lizard offers a village green, small shops, a pub and cafes, with Lizard Lighthouse being the oldest mainland light in Cornwall. Lizard Peninsula is surrounded on three sides by the sea, with the fourth by the still waters of the Helford River, and boasts many golden beaches, cliff tops and coastal villages. Just five miles away is the large village of Mullion, which is home to a selection of popular restaurants, shops and pubs, along with Mullion Meadows Chocolate Factory and coffee shop and Mullion Cove, a pretty working harbour. Within driving distance is the busy market town of Helston, which is most famous for its Flora Day Festival and the many stories and legends about the "Furry Dance" are told in the fascinating Helston Folk Museum. Nearby is the Poldark Mine, one of the best underground experiences in the south west, and further afield is the harbour town of Falmouth to the east and Land's End to the west. Lizard village is a convenient base for a visiting a variety of attractions.
