Immediately adjacent to the cottage is an area of lawn bordered with a stream, continuing down the valley through the rhododendron garden to a wild life area with open ponds and streams (formerly part of the water Mill collecting the water from springs on the valley side).
There are also two acres of woodland which rise up the side of the valley.
The entrance is fenced and gated, children and dogs should be supervised within the grounds.
