In itself it’s comfortable and cosy, even with Covid restrictions in place. The owners are friendly and helpful without being intrusive, and their garden is just lovely.

“Lovely cottage in a quiet country lane.”

The cottage is small but perfect for two people. The shower is wonderful after a hot day on the beach. A lovely area and a wonderful view of st. Michael’s Mount just outside the door. Lots to do and we were given lots of ideas for places to visit by Sue the owner. She also let us explore her wonderful garden. We discovered St Michael’s Way which is great for those who enjoy hiking. Local pub was well worth a visit. I would recommend this cottage

“Mark and I did enjoy our stay at little Barn, but as my partner is over six foot, upstairs was quite restrictive in height, and I think if we had seen a photo of the bathroom we would have been aware of how low the ceilings were.”

Otherwise we loved the gardens and the barn was very cosy, Sue our host was very lovely, and so kind after I hurt my foot, kind regards Sally and Mark

“My Aunt inspired this trip.”

She had rented from these owners for 12 years and raved about the beauty of Cornwall. The Little Barn is located in gorgeous garden of which walking through daily is a must! The property is perfectly set close to everything and the property management were great in helping us navigate our sightseeing. The property itself is stunning and has been very well taken care of to maintain its Cornish charm! The Little Barn was very clean and well stocked. If you want the real Cornish experience.... book this place!! We will be back!

“The barn itself is just lovely - thick stone walls and a tiny seating area outside protected by a dry stone wall covered in flowers.”

It is tranquil and homely. The large gardens are amazing - lots of hidden pathways and a huge variety of plants and shrubs. The cottage is comfortable and well stocked with the essentials. Nearby local pubs and shops make self catering easy.

“The Little Barn is a cute little house with everything you need for a vacation.”

There is a lot of room despite the few square metres. Clean and nicely decorated. Lots of books, games and tourist information. The owners are very kind and helpful with everything, just ask.

“We have just returned from a fabulous holiday at the Little Barn.”

It's in a gorgeous setting, very relaxing and exactly what we wanted. It's location is great for getting out and about. Very close to the station for a lovely train journey to St Ives. The gardens are beautiful and Sue made us feel very welcome. Would love to visit again.

“We have stayed in the Little Barn on a few occasions.”

The last being June 2015. This is a very cosy little place but with everything needed for a self catering holiday. Lovely to be able to eat outside in the amazing garden. There are always plenty of birds waiting to eat any crumbs! The Little Barn is close to the A30 and there are plenty of stunning beaches within half an hour's drive. Also it is close to Penzance and supermarkets etc for those all important Cornish Pasties and Cream Teas! It is also amazing to wake up in the night and be able to see the stars thanks to velux roof windows! Sue and Les, the owners always make us feel very welcome and we leave with great sadness every time.

The property

The Little Barn is a really charming barn conversion, idyllic for two, midway between Penzance and St Ives and close to the village of Ludgvan, The detached property has been sympathetically updated and is tucked away behind high gates and thick hedges, providing a wonderful place to relax and unwind in.

Inside you've got cosy living space with a farmhouse-style kitchen while upstairs the bedroom has stunning picture window complete with wrought iron balustrade.

The owner, who is a local artist, lives in the adjacent property and generously allows guests the use of the lovely sub-tropical garden she has created of terraced lawns, an orchard, woodland, a stream and several ponds.

In the garden you'll find a great variety of rare and exotic plants, which provide interest and colour throughout the different seasons, some of which you've probably never seen before!
