    Mr Forsyth

“We had figured on a holiday to Cornwall for a wee while, mainly for the coastal walks, the food and the nature.”

So with just a little planning Falmouth seemed like a sensible base and a cottage had the nod over a guest house. We are so glad of our choice. Crabapple cottage is a gem, spotlessly clean, brimming with accessories, a real home from home. The level of detail the hosts have considered for guests Is exceptional. A special mention has to be the grounds it sits within. Pendra Loweth is a wonderful holiday village. The cottages are extremely well looked after, the gardens are beautifully tended ...

The cottages are extremely well looked after, the gardens are beautifully tended. There is a real sense of privacy without feeling isolated. Scenic, natural and totally idyllic. This was a great base for us to take in some sightseeing. We took in walks at lizard point, Kynance Cove and Mullion. The scenery is breathtaking. Mevvagisey, Newquay, St Agnes and Falmouth proved to be great days out too. Crabapple cottage was always a welcome haven to return to. Many thanks for a great stay and will definitely be recommending to family and friends.

The property

With a southerly aspect overlooking a pretty communal garden at the rear is Crabapple Cottage, a two bedroom mid terrace property.

Enjoy the views over the pretty gardens from the sunny patio with a picnic table and barbeque for summer dining.

The open plan living space has a light and airy ambience and will suit couples or small families looking to relax in comfort.

Upstairs are two bedrooms, a double and a single plus a family bathroom.

There is one allocated parking space plus visitor parking nearby. Enjoying the southerly aspect of the village, Crabapple Cottage benefits from easy access to the coastal footpaths and Maenporth Cove.

Walking to the beach from your cottage will take approximately twenty minutes fairly level walk along a lane or through the fields, making it easy to leave the car behind for the day.

Guests wanting to enjoy a game of tennis are just a stone's throw away from the all weather courts whilst those wanting to relax will appreciate the private terrace.

Perhaps the best work out to be had is a circular walk from the cottage, down to Maenporth cove, up across the spectacular coastal footpath toward Swanpool and then back up through the pretty lanes to the village; roughly five miles but well worth the effort for those wanting to appreciate all that this special location has to offer.

North Helford and Falmouth are perhaps the quintessential Cornish visitor destinations; a mix of beach, creek and woodland serve some of our most interesting and historic villages and towns.

Falmouth itself is home to the National Maritime Museum, visitors will enjoy an amble through the narrow streets and possibly a boat trip across the River Fal or up the Truro River.

The Cornish Cottage Holidays team is always on hand to advise you on the area and to help you plan your stay with us.

The Village of Gardens, Pendra Loweth is a village of purpose built and privately owned self-catering holiday cottages.

Situated in the beautiful and peaceful valley leading down to Maenporth Beach, Falmouth.

With onsite facilities including tennis courts, children's outdoor play area and an indoor plunge pool, jacuzzi and gym(seasonal opening hours).
