    “Our first experience of ‘cottage’ living after having to give up a touring caravan.”

    Generally pleasantly surprised. Could do with a new shower, takes a long while to get hot (waste of water) and when it does it’s not very powerful. Setees could do with some new upholstery. Well equipped with everything you would have at home. Location a bit out on a limb if you want to use the cottage as a base for touring the area.

The property

With a southerly aspect overlooking a pretty communal garden at the rear is Crabapple Cottage, a two bedroom mid terrace property.

Enjoy the views over the pretty gardens from the sunny patio with a picnic table and barbeque for summer dining.

The open plan living space has a light and airy ambience and will suit couples or small families looking to relax in comfort.

Upstairs are two bedrooms, a double and a smaller room with a 4' double bed, plus a family bathroom.

There is one allocated parking space plus visitor parking nearby. Enjoying the southerly aspect of the village, Crabapple Cottage benefits from easy access to the coastal footpaths and Maenporth Cove where the family can enjoy a day at the seaside.

Guests wanting to enjoy a game of tennis are just a stone's throw away from the all weather courts whilst those wanting to relax will appreciate the private terrace. North Helford and Falmouth are perhaps the quintessential Cornish visitor destinations; a mix of beach, creek and woodland serve some of our most interesting and historic villages and towns.

Falmouth itself is home to the National Maritime Museum, visitors will enjoy an amble through the narrow streets and possibly a boat trip across the River Fal or up the Truro River.

New for 2023 is a newly refurbished, fully licensed cafe/bar/restaurant on-site.Open from 1 April until end of October 10am-10pm seven days a week.Providing a lovely, family friendly and attractive place for visitors to relax and enjoy a meal or drinks.Included on the menu are brunch/snacks, ice creams, barista-quality coffee and house wines and beers.In the evening cocktails and a tasty meals from quality, local produce.

Also offering a takeaway service with the shop area stocking a selection of quality, everyday items including fresh milk and bread etc.

Falmouth, with its magnificent natural harbour (the third largest in the world), winding streets and beaches, will keep you occupied for hours. The town's old harbour-side pubs, excellent shopping, art gallery and stunning National Maritime Museum simply complete the picture. Pendennis Castle, built by Henry VIII, is Falmouth's most popular attraction, sited on its own peninsula with superb panoramic sea views. Across from Falmouth harbour is the beautiful town of St Mawes, surrounded by the rocky coves, sandy beaches and lush green countryside of the Roseland Peninsula. Go there by car (15 miles) or take the passenger ferry from Falmouth (15 minutes). For nature lovers there is the Swanpool Nature Reserve, a lagoon and site of special scientific interest teeming with a variety of wildlife. There is also a golf course.
